Well ... Miami is nice, except when there are hurricanes, of course, and it's far enough away from R'lyeh that we shouldn't have to worry about Cthulhu much. Eh, let the New York superheroes deal with him.
Things in RL have finally settled down enough for me to get back to this, and I don't expect further issues for the next few months.
I see we have something new! I appreciate the nod to amphibious characters, whoever those might be. :xFwink: While the underwater rescue sounds great, and I'd...
Sorry for not posting sooner -- major work issues that will last until the end of the month. I'm still keeping an eye on things here, though. In fact, I have a question. Does a team have to control an unbroken line of nodes to the opposing core in order to attack it?
TIDE HUNTRESS is strong (8d) and tough (8d). Her tentacles can stretch, allowing her to grab or hit opponents outside normal hand-to-hand range. She can use her 11d Strike as an area attack to hit multiple targets or, spend 1 Resolve to hit specific targets. She's immune to toxins, can see in...
Mirada was already reviewing Team Maelstrom's stats on her tablet when she joined Sebastian in the training room.
"For starters, I think we should focus-down Krull and take him out of the fight as quickly as possible. If we can limit Dino-Might's movement, he'll be pretty much shut down, too...
A muffled chime let Mirada know she had a new text message. She took her phone out of her sweatpants and saw that Sebastian's assistant, Terry, had sent the details of the upcoming super team match.
"Oh, wow. New bout this weekend," she said while scrolling through Terry's message. "I'm going...
"... chlorine makes breathing pool water uncomfortable. It doesn't hurt, but it's like being in a room with, like, a hundred scented candles going."
Sebastian stopped at the game room to check in on Sidestep and Zei. Mirada poked her head in, too, and waved. Smiling, she said, "Hey, guys. Slow...
Also, TIDE HUNTRESS is a public figure, so both the general population and the team know that her real name is Mirada Lopez-Ramos. You guys can call her Mirada or Mira.
I like the idea of a simulation, though I'm disturbed by the AI tricking us into believing we left it. Are we still in the danger room? Will Mother ever let us leave?
How do we know what's real? 😱
I'd just as soon stay on RPN. All the stuff is already here, and I check multiple sites daily...
I'd be okay with a team vs. team one-shot. I really just want to get used to the game mechanics. Would we be allowed to tinker with our characters afterwards, if we find that some power or other isn't quite working the way we thought, or we want to shore up a weakness?
My apologies for being absent. Real-world problems.
I'll post my character's origin tomorrow, and then I should be ready to work on collaborating with the rest of you.
My only request for the setting is that it be close to a large body of water -- preferably an ocean, but a large lake or major river would also be fine.
TIDE HUNTRESS is a public figure and has been for a couple of years. If the characters have spent any time in the city at all, they've...
That’s cool. Let me know if anything changed.
Also, if you have a link to the latest version of the rules, please post it. I’d like to purchase a copy.
