Right. Anyway. Is there a next step that should be undertaken? I know the opening post says something about Discord but I haven't really followed up on that.
Howdy.
I am completely new, but I am glad to try and learn if it means getting to play a cowboy.
I'd like to request some clarification on this. What does this mean for the interaction of the setting magic and real-world religions?
Lastly (for now), are there tuberculosis mechanics in Pathfinder?
Unfortunate for us, but understandable. Have a lovely and productive time with your other endeavors!

As for myself, I do have a couple additional questions while I look through my skill options. Is there a skill for Indian languages, or do they speak the "American" language? Is that...
I very much do get the meaning, because that's how I feel.
Y'know, the running skill looks pretty good in this situation. It has quite a few other nice bonuses that would be helpful, I think. I suspect I shall go with the Deputy Sheriff idea, and I shall dub him John Lawmanson. Seeing that...
Here's what I'm reading on that page:
Knockout/Stun: Anyone hit by a knockout or stun attack will be temporarily dazed or incapacitated. The victim is not necessarily unconscious, just dazed - reduce attacks per melee round to one and no combat bonuses for a stunned/dazed character for 1d4 melee...
I've come up with more questions. I'm planning to go with the preacher character for now, but I'm open to feedback or suggestions.
What are knockout (not knockdown) attacks? Are those just ones that reduce HP to 0 or less, but are non-lethal?
How does one mechanically determine if you can...
Good to know, thank you. I did go through the power list in Ultimate Edition, I just wasn't sure if other abilities were added elsewhere.
Funny this comes up- while it sounds like @Dannigan has already settled on a character concept, I was actually waiting to see what others picked to help...
Right, it appears I have once again accidentally said the opposite of what I meant to. Thankfully Alchemist's initial reply does seem to answer the question ("doesn't have that perk" implying overflow damage from SDC does carry over to HP, which is what I intended to ask). So it all works out...
I had somehow forgotten, despite the top-tier of that joke. Sometimes I even surprise and impress myself.
Indeed. You may have noticed that I've already posted there earlier today.
I have come up with questions based on my short reading.
When physical SDC is broken, does excess damage overflow to hitpoints? I read a clause saying this is true for MDC, but I don't remember seeing anything for SDC.
The opening post states that MDC of 200 or higher is too much for this...
Hello! Good to see you as well, true believer.
That's very reassuring to hear, thank you! I'll start looking a little deeper into what the character creation options are and start putting something together. I've picked up from the OOC thread that you roll for stats. Do you pick you class...
Is Rifts a setting/system that can be played without extensive foreknowledge? My knowledge of the setting is mostly from Wikipedia and some of the lore (or at least the magnitude of it) seems intimidating, but I like Westerns.
I'm not particularly bothered by the difference in theme/setting, since my interest was mostly to try out new systems. I don't want to be pushy about it, though.
