Re: Day 1, Scene 1: The Quest Starts as the Wyldlands Advan
Just outside the door, the quiet but unmistakable noise of a coin being flipped in the air, caught, and flipped again repeatedly draws attention to the wall just outside the town hall, where a man dressed unmistakably as a vagabond...
Amethyst
Amethyst, curiously, does not ready her mace when the automaton draws itself together. She does, however, when the doors open.
"S-something's back there! Why couldn't you have just let us stick with the torches?"
Maybe, but why test that hypothesis when there's no significant gain and quite a bit of risk? The intelligent Twilight sets aside her experiment until she has proper equipment for performing and recording. In this case, a Master's degree in Geomancy or the All-Encompassing Sorcerer's Sight...
Shimmering Amethyst
Amethyst stammers as she approaches one of the guards. "Uh...e-excuse me, do you guys have torches? You know, like for night guarding? We could really use one or two."
Amethyst
The Twilight completely ignores the human beings and makes a beeline for the building, inspecting it visually, tactilely, and...olfactorially? She doesn't seem to give any care that what she's doing looks a bit odd.

Not sure what I'm supposed to roll...
Well...
I already have a Friday game.
I already have a Saturday game.
I already have a Monday game.
I can't do anything Tuesday or Thursday evenings.
Beyond that, I suppose I'm free late evenings EST. But that doesn't leave much, eh?
Do I have to pay to resist compulsion to act? Because at this stage, there is nothing that I need to do that hasn't already been done.
I happen to disapprove of "5 people talk to 1 person all at the same time", so I do my part to avoid it.
If Takeno needs, help, here's what people actually wanted to do:
Mahir: Bind the Perfect in an oath, then get the orb
Takeno: Same
Blossom: Destroy the orb, then leave
Amethyst: Go after the orb (and, though she's yet to say it, destroy it and then leave)
Amethyst provides "advice" for the treaty by slamming her hand down on the paper.
"No. No treaties, no agreements, no promises," she manages to say without stuttering, though she still hasn't looked up. "We're acting as we think best for Creation, and if the Perfect doesn't think that's...
Amethyst doesn't touch any of the food or drink in front of her.
"Yes, we should go there, she responds in an even voice, without raising her eyes to look at the others. "That Orb's fate cannot be left out of our hands."
Venay finally walks into the room, dressed in a much fancier outfit than when the others met her at the bar. She could easily blend into a high society party in the Imperial City if it weren't hundreds of miles away. She sits down just as Felicia finishes her latest set of responses.
"And...
Amethyst finally emerges from her quarters. While she certainly appears cleaner, she, unlike the others, looks no more relaxed, nor less tired. In fact, her eyes look red and distant. Still, she's at least dressed in something nicer than her previous dirty traveling clothes.
She sits down...
