I hear you. Kind of feel the same way when I walk into any nerdy store and it's just funko pops everywhere. Man, I hate funko pops (nothing against people who enjoy them, but damn, you can hardly tell who the character is supposed to be).
But in the end, it's good that there's new stuff coming...
Alien for me. My parents are huge sci-fi fans and I watched it with them when I was way too young for it (maybe around 10-12?). I'd had trouble sleeping for a while after that, haha.

That reminds me of the time I cut off all the hair from my barbie (even going as far as pulling any remainder out of the little holes on her head with tweezers) and then I tried to make her a wig out of yarn and stick in on with play-dough. It didn't work as I had hoped.
I've played my share of dudes and I enjoyed it just as much as my female characters. I think it might have something to do with the fact that a lot of the books I've read and games I played had male heroes, so that kind of helped me to get into the right mindset. It's fun either way. :)
