I'll be controlling most of the enemies that are battled, so I think the On Your Honor system would work, but if someone were to suggest a more mechanical system, I'd be open to hearing them out.

It doesn't really become dystopian until the later entries in the series, but some of the enemies that will be faced will give hints that things aren't going quite so well.
