Payton smiles and walks to the front door and opens it. She breaths in the fresh air and walks over to the girl, hands away from her weapons and slightly raised.
"Hello there!" Payton calls out to the short haired girl, smiling slightly.
"Good cop bad cop?" Payton suggest, hand on the top her axe, rubbing the side of the blade while watching a walker stumbling around a ways down the street, towards the mall.
Payton laughs at Ali's comment as she packs up her gear, slinging her quiver and backpack and bow over her shoulder and grabbing her axe and putting it on her belt.
"Want to go give them a friendly hello?" She asks Ali, ready to go stretch her feet and explore some more.
"Having other living people around instead of dead people would be amazing," Payton agrees, "I wonder what it feels like to have a boyfriend. I never had a boyfriend. I was always the one who stayed in the shadows before all this happened. I hope you achieve your goal, Ali," she gives Ali a...
"Ouch," Payton says, "that must have hurt. Are you okay?" Payton wasn't as shy to new people as she was before. Normally she would be awkward and such. The apocalypse changes people.
Payton nods and hands Ali the beans and keeps the corn to herself. She eats a spoonful of corn before speaking again.
"What happened to your leg?" Payton asks before taking another spoonful of the corn.
Payton nods as she grabs the cans when the food looks cooked well enough. She grabs two spoons and hands one to Alissa and keeps one for herself.
"Soup or beans?" She asks, giving Alissa the first dibs on the canned food, not caring which one she got since she likes both.
(I am as well)
Payton checks the cans before leaning back in her chair.
"Did the walker down there chase you down there?" Payton asks curiously, hoping she is not being annoying with all these questions.
(Sorry for not posting earlier. I got tired and went to sleep..)
Payton lowers her axe as well and nods to Alissa, "it's nice meeting you, Ali. How long were you down in that basement?" Payton walks over to her stuff and grabs a can of beans and opens it then sets it by the fire, followed closely by a can of corn. Payton pulls over another chair for Ali and...
Payton lowers her axe as she studies the girl. Her eyes land on the wound on the girls leg but she looks away, not trying to be rude and stare.
"I'm Payton Riley," she introduces herself, a faint smile working its way onto her face, "and you are?"
Payton wakes to the sound of a door opening. It didn't sound like one from upstairs, but the basement door. She grabs her axe and stands up, ready to defend herself. Do walkers know how to open doors? She hasn't seen any open doors before. But she wasn't going to let her guard down, even if...
