I mean I was simply waiting for the next posts. I would like to continue as we barely started, but that all depends on the rest of us. Sorry i'm replying late as well. been a hectic couple of weeks for me.
Pyke, now aboard the ship, felt a bit safer now but he knew they weren't out of trouble yet. His options were limited. That last big spell of his was truly his ace in the hole. What was once a storm of magic held within his grimoire now felt like a gust of air pushing up against his very being...
I'm gonna keep it that way and provide cover fire as a means of giving them time to prep and fire another harpoon. So Pyke will take aim at one of the people blocking Jidath's path and fire his light crossbow.
+5 to-hit with my crossbow.
That does not look good lol.
If I recall correctly I was out of spell slots before arriving on the ship. So aside from cantrips, I can take aim and fire my crossbow at any approaching enemies that make it onto the gangplank. How far away is the group of enemies blocking Jidath's path from the ship?
I get what you both are saying. I'm genuinely curious to see what becomes of this little social experiment now. I'll start writing up something and post an interest check in the near future. Like you said Onmyoji,"Because why not?" lol
I rather like the concept of having a sectioned off area or...
Hmm that's a rather interesting note of history for the site. It's kinda cool to think this was a thing that was popular. Do you think it would be an entertaining idea to sort of have the cafe act as way for players to relive characters they had left behind from other rps? So the cafe functions...
I've been wondering if there was a way to write a cafe setting for a roleplay where players can pop in and out without hassle. I figured you'd have a key character or two namely the owner and maybe one or two staff. But characters like patrons that come and go are simply there to provide players...
Pyke was able to successfully break Lugg-Mag's stupor. A slightly sigh of relief as he did so. It wasn't without repercussions it would seem as some of the goblins and even the fourthling still had their senses. Slag it all, just how tough is that fourthling? Pyke thought to himself.
As he was...
Alright so I need to do a DC 14 Str Check and a Concentration check. Let me see here... Oh boy I'm really gambling on that Str check with no modifiers lol. And if I remember correctly a Concentration check is 10 or half the damage and it's a Constitution save? Well I at least have a +1 for that...
Out of survival instinct Pyke's form reverted back to it's true state. Clearly it worked as most of the goblins missed with their arrows. All but one managed to pierce Pyke's leg. Pyke bites their lip to contain the wail of pain they would've let out. Instead only a low, elongated groan of agony...
@Felix
I wish to cast Hypnotic Pattern in the area. Regretfully that will effect everyone including my companions. The idea is that if I'm successful I awaken my allies from their stupor should they fail the saving throw and we get out of dodge while I concentrate on the spell.
Spell save: DC...
@Felix
So this may expose me early on, but given the situation I may have to risk it as it's one of the most likely things Pyke would do. If he is going to get attacked I would like to use my reaction to activate my racial ability Unsettling Visage to impose disadvantage on the attack roll...
After his spell went off the fourthling shot out a spell of their own. A shard of ice sprang forth and crashed onto the ground and shattered sending a spray of ice daggers all around. Acting quickly Pyke stepped out of the line of fire, protecting his tome while he did so. He opens his tome once...
Right, first I need to make that Dex Check you wanted. Then I'm going to try and cast Eldritch Blast once more. This time I'm aiming both beams at Tytugg.
@Felix
It seemed that Lugg-Mag was struggling with his side of things. Though it's not exactly his style, Pyke knew if things got tough he needed to hold off his ace for the right moment. Survival on the Edge is one part instinct, one part intelligence, and one part experience. With that in mind he...
