They're actually surprisingly similar. I'd recommend watching Critical Role's second campaign. They're great and they perfectly convey what D&D can be. But yeah, I get that. But I sorta need guidelines to work with, you get me? A sort of system that makes life just a tad bit easier.
Absolutely agree with you. But even if luck isn't one of the things that pulls me towards D&D, it's the whole Dungeon Master mechanic, controlling the enemies, allies, etc..
Definitely. But also I've gotten used to the unpredictability of D&D, where you only control your character and there's a DM laying down everything for you, but here you kinda control NPCs and stuff as well and there's no DM, at least not in the same way, and you only fail or succeed based on...
Site's mostly been inactive for me so I gave up on it, honestly. Got a Discord notification from the site and decided to pop in, see what's going on. My roleplay ideas just don't work out because they suck.
I'm not a main anymore. I also don't play Poseidon because I'm the only person who can't hit his god damn kraken. Baron, Hel, Nu Wa, Kukulkan, Pele, Ao Kuang, and like half the guardians are my favourites, but Bellona will always be #1.
