Grey and I just wrapped up the first scene with my character. I preferred to work through it behind the scenes via pm. It’s in the main thread now, though, in the spoiler of the first post. :)
The titles which jumped out to me for Krumbach’s patron, Tower-Ever-Falling, were: Lord of the Dead City, Love’s Last Revenge, and Mask of Tragedia
It all sounds so very cold and bottomless and haunting.
Before he ever fashioned dolls, Viktor Krumbach fashioned shoes. He inherited the profession of cordwainer from his late uncle, Christoph, who had owned and operated a shoe shop in the town of Port d'Erbor. When his uncle passed away, the small, well-kept shop overlooking the bay was left to...
I’ll take a couple of days to polish up my character’s backstory and then send it to you, Grey. With that information you can then build the character however you imagine he should look/function.
@Meredith I nearly made my character a tailor before switching over to dollmaking, but I settled on him having been a cordwainer instead. So between your character and mine, if anyone we encounter should need new clothes, shoes, or dolls we’ll be covered. :closed eyes open smile:
Tower-Ever-Falling strikes me as a fitting patron. But if you think there’s a better match after looking over my finished character, I’ll go with whatever you suggest.
Also, Grey, if you could come up with a name for a duke, as well as a name for one of said duke’s towns — my character will...
A child’s doll. I’ve been brainstorming the idea of a humble dollmaker, who after suffering considerable hardships and injustices, connects with an otherworldly entity via one of his creations.
If you don’t feel a concept like that is right for this roleplay, don’t hesitate to let me know. I...
I created a lore thread to help get (and keep) everyone on the same page of this alternate Great Crusade era project. I figured the thread could also serve as the spot for our OOC chatter.
Alternate Lore: Word Bearers
The Emperor never ordered the Ultramarines to destroy Monarchia. Instead the Master of Mankind met face-to-face with Lorgar and demanded his son, as well as the entirety of the Word Bearer Legion, renounce their religious practice and beliefs. Lorgar vehemently...
Keep in mind this roleplay is tackling an alternate history of the late(ish) Great Crusade era, and Grammatic and myself have made several significant adjustments to the timeline — mostly dealing with the Legions and their respective primarchs — in order for events to play out differently...
...the Orks appear to be organized and operating as marauders, and are of moderate (not planet threatening) strength. More investigation is required.
*The 823th Expeditionary Fleet, under Lord Commander Irayas Nornan, has been operating in the Delios Expanse for quite some time, without a...
@CommanderNecro I see you’re taking on the Alpha Legion. That’s cool. I was in the process of creating a character for them but I’ll leave the XXth to you. I’ll switch over to the Death Guard. This way we’ll have better Legion/faction representation, and more importantly, I can puppeteer my...
Update: Grammatic and I are currently behind the scenes scheming away like Greater Daemons of Tzeentch to create an alternate, though equally epic, 30k timeline. So far so good. When the shite inevitably hits the chainsword, and Space Marines in our roleplay begin to betray their brother Space...
