Tobias raised a brow at the muttering of the name, but he quickly assumed that it was the name of her ex. But with Alexis sleeping in her own bed, Tobias went back to the couch to sleep.
The next morning, Tobias had left: taking off to where his little shack was in order to get some clothes...
Tobias walked gingerly over to the couch to chance carrying her over to her bed. He picked her up: leaning her head against his shoulder as he carried Alexis over to her bed. He stepped carefully, trying to avoid waking her so he could lie her down on the bed and take his place on the couch.
"Last door on the right, got it." Tobias headed off towards the bathroom and closed the door behind him. He was careful to step around things--trying not to disturb the "natural order" Alexis had going here. He did, however, pluck the towel up from the floor and hung it up for her before turning...
He'd nod. "Alright, fair enough. I'll try not to make much noise," he'd say as he got up from the chair and started walking away. He stopped suddenly and looked back at Alexis. "The shower is where, exactly?" He'd smile and laugh nervously.
"Hey, I just smelled the food!" Tobias held up his hands in defense and laughed. "I didn't see the weapons until you came out of the bushes threatening to kill me."
Tobias shrugged at the mention of a chair, but he did get up and sit in a chair regardless.
"So...now what?"
"Kind of," he admitted. "I've been living in the reserve lately, and I don't always catch something every day. I was trying to hunt--key word trying--when you baited me out. Mistook you for a staff member."
He followed Alexis back as he talked. He sat down on the floor across from the couch...
Tobias gave a look of genuine shock at the mention of being bitten by a troll. "Wow, that's...wow. I heal fast, and that would hurt even me. Just...wow."
He watched as she took off her belt, and then he stared at it as she held it out to him. He hesitated, but eventually took it, inspected it...
He'd duck his head down in slight shame at Alexis' remark. He'd finish his slice, then copied her by placing his dish in the sink.
"I know I can be a bit...eccentric at times," he'd admit. "I'll work on it. Hit the town tomorrow, interact with people a bit, get back into the swing of things...
When he heard her calling him, Tobias bolted off of the couch...and immediately tripped as his feet got caught on the hem of the too-large pants. He hit the floor with a thud, but didn't let that stop him. He scrambled back to his feet, hiked up the pants, and ran the rest of the short distance...
Sorry for the delay; I've been resting the past couple days, having just completed finals. Sort of stumbled upon an uncreative block in the process. Hope my post suffices, but do let me know if I need to add something more to it.
"Cult dealings? Danger to the public?" Elias was so frustrated that he started laughing. "You want to talk about a 'danger to the public'? The person killing people is the dangerous one." He gave a frustrated sigh before finally opening the cabinet drawers back up and taking the files back out...
Tobias rubbed the back of his neck and stared down at the floor in embarrassment. "I-it's been a while since I was human. It takes me a bit to adjust, that's all."
When Alexis got up, Tobias instinctively stood up to follow, but soon sat back down. He settled back into the couch. He started...
Tobias frowned at the mention of chocolate. "You can keep the chocolate. But can we have the cheesecake?" He was practically bouncing in his seat. Actually, he was literally bouncing on the edge of his seat. "Pleeeeease~?" He tried making his cutest kitten face before remembering he was human...
He'd shrug in response to her first question. "Some people like to pry is all. 'Where are you from? What do you do? Are you seeing anyone? You should meet my granddaughter,'" he'd say in a mock falsetto. "That's why I masquerade as a cat so much. I get to meet people before they meet me."
He...
Tobias pouted as he looked up at Alexis. "...Fine. No pranks inside your apartment, and I won't touch your weapons." He reluctantly reached out to shake her hand. "And as an added bonus, I'll try not to let any trouble follow me home. You're lucky I enjoy staying alive so much." He'd smirk...
He wasn't entirely surprised to hear that she had never heard of the guild. That was actually a good thing, considering the business. When he noticed her skirt situation, Singe blushed slightly and averted his eyes while she fixed it. He'd clear his throat before speaking.
"It's quite...
Tobias glanced at the dagger and frowned. He was in his most harmless state and still he was being threatened with weapons. He looked back up at Alexis and sighed through his nose.
"To be a therianthrope of any kind is a gift. It's a chance to live among both humans and animals: to understand...
Tobias watched as Alexis moved around, and as the pile of clothes was tossed onto the couch. He gave them a curious sniff, and then looked back to Alexis as she told him to get changed.
"Now? Well...alright." He'd shrug and jump onto the floor before beginning the process of turning into a...
