When the moon rises, glinting it's appearance down on the lands of every kingdom, your eyes are wide awake. You're up, for some reason, a fear of foreboding. Like something awaits you. On this special night, something life-changing does occur. Just by the soft flutters of wings, you're surprised to see an owl trying to meet up with you. It's wings are pelted in it's own color, specifically different from the rest to describe your personality. A letter drops down-an invitation. An invitation to the Jewel Box. Unmarried, and in need of having someone besides you take the thrown, you accept. Your body changes, and so does your identity. You are a Jewel, planning to do whatever it costed to find out who your true love is. Even if it meant manipulating, deceiving, lying, and framing others. This is a game of competition, but true bonding that has secrets eventually come to light. All across the rooms you enter, it is recorded for the civilians to see. And each corner, you can't help but notice a different gemstone smiling back at you. Synové Astraeus Silver
❛ Ace Ametrine ❜
The waters around churned in the distance, a soft song playing for her as Synove projected her emotions through her movements. Her toes curled in the sand, sweeping across discarded shells, and arms splayed out with wonder. Her eyes had shut tight, the green sparkly ring on her finger gleaming from the moonlight. Having safe, night walks calmed her. She couldn't sleep, in general, even after the lavish festivals the Kingdom of Xeraphyne held out.

The hint of responsibility was soon pouring over Synove's shoulders, and she was currently being forced to find a man or woman, or anything else, that could take the throne besides her. She was supposed to be Queen of Xeraphyne, not any other kingdom, which made finding marriage proposals hard on her part. No one really wanted to marry their child off to a kingdom, right? Well, she didn't have a choice. As an only child, it was her job to continue the legacy of the Silver family. Without her, it would die out much quicker than wanted. She had to find someone.

And as if Synove's wishes came true, a screeching call made her eyes flutter wide. A beast mid-air was soaring for her, wings such a metallic white it nearly blinded her. There was glimmers exuding from the owl's body, as it flew down to finally meet her. "What's...this?" She whispered softly. But instead of hearing words spoken or more animal language, a tone appeared in her mind. "Synove Astraeus Silver. You were meant to be one of the brightest Jewels. Our box shows you a destiny you cannot fulfill without joining. Will you bother becoming a gemstone, and possibly the star of our shows?"

Her foot took a step back, but her body lodged in the same place. The Jewelry box was known to take a hand out for the nobles, but she hadn't realized she'd be asked so soon. But it was at the best time...her chest heaved. A note dropped into her hand, sealed down, and yet she gently opened it. Words flooded her head, and then her eyes met two final terms. YES or NO. Synove looked up at the owl, that was innocently waiting for her answer.

She briskly leaned forward, knowing she had nothing to write with at the time, and kissed the note on YES. In an instant was her world turned bright. Lights encapsulated her, like she was transforming, and the owl vanish as she was left inside a realm of fantasy. Ribbons and robes, brushes and powder, heels and shoes-all kinds of things flew around her. Synove's body was wrapped around with what felt like heaven, a glorious moment for her to experience. Her clothes changed to a growing dark purple dress, one that strapped over her shoulders.

Her hair glistened, red strands turning more frail like snow. Synove's eye lids droop, sudden sleep filling her. Then, she felt her feet stumble. She softly let out a gasp when she was now standing in a room. It looked like some sort of hall of fame. Her body felt different, like she was reduced to the size of a minion. A veil wrapped around her head, matching the color of her new dress, and her fingers ran through the new locks that greeted her. "Amazing..."

While in awe, a voice behind her made her turn around with caution. A man with one black eye patch, almost as if he was familiar, was looking at her. "You arrived, Ace Ametrine." A shiver ran down Synove's spine. Ametrine? As if reading her thoughts, the man responded. "You have decided to take part in the Jewel Box games, seeking the most best thing anyone would want. You have been morphed into someone knew, to be learned as who you are-glamoured so appearances didn't matter here."

Realization spiked into her, and soon the Moon Owl turned her around by the shoulders. Her reflection marked by a shadow became real-and only then did she get to see herself. She was a completely different person. Even her eye color strayed away from anything similar as before. She reached for the glass pane, only to stop when more panes lit up. 5 other shadowy mirrors appeared, showcasing empty slots for the rest of the part takers. Synove figured they would all be part of the rest of the left over royals.

"Now that you have adjusted, it is time to take matters into your own hands. You will be sent to the main hall shortly, where the Jewel Box resort takes place. There, you'll get to see everyone else, and how they seem to take an appearance as. Good luck, and good love." The last bit caught her off guard, and yet, Moon Owl vanished. Fondling with her finger tips, she recomposed herself. "I can do this." Her feet once again fell from underneath her, and she took a stand on a very detailed floor. Six chairs were arranged, and she made a step forward.

Her body skills did not change, but thankfully she knew how to walk well in heels. Synove, now known as Ametrine she supposed, took a seat near the middle, wondering who would bother to come next. She was curious to see what other gemstones there would be, as everything seemed so pretty in her eyes. Nervousness also filled her, a warning that she'd have to be ready to not fall for lies that were bound to come and attract.

atticus bellamy

  • .

The sound of a piano accompanied by chatter and laughter echoed in a ballroom. Calming, light and classy, the piano's music reflected the bright interior it was situated in. Seated in front of the black and white keys of the grand instrument was Atticus. Their red hair tied in a half ponytail and smiling ear to ear, enjoying the music that they'd written last week.

"Excuse me sir?" A middle aged male approached them, his cane tapping the floor to gain Atticus' attention, which it did. "You must be young Atticus Bellamy, son of Lady Sylvia. It is a pleasure to meet you," tipping his bowl hat at the young man, "Your mother and I are good friends." Atticus' eyes lit up with joy when they heard the words. Jumping off of their seat, they immediately grabbed his hands and shook it violently. "Ah, hello there Mom's friend! I'm Atticus Bellamy, as you'd said and I will be the ball's court musician until my mom says so. I'm so so so excited to see you!"

Light laughter came out from their conversation before going into different ways. Grumbling from behind the piano, Atticus hung their head lazily and tiredly. "Can't I just bring more instruments here that I could play? Just having a piano is sooo boring," Atticus complained, their old habits ringing in their head that they decided to repress to the back of their mind.

Just after Atticus slumped their chin on the rest stand, clearly bored from playing the same genre of songs, their mom approached them, giving them a light tap on the back. "Atticus, dear. I brought you a little gift!" She cooed as Atticus slowly looked at her direction. A box wrapped in the same red as their hair with a light, blue ribbon. "A gift!" Atticus immediately perked up, snatching the gift from her hands and excitedly, yet delicately, opened the box. A strong aroma of cinnamon and apple blue in their face as a plain paid pie top greeted their eyes. "Food!" They giggled, twirling it around in joy before looking back at her, a semi concerned and unusual deadpan expression, "Are you sure I can eat this?" Amused by their reaction, Atticus' mom nodded and signaled them to run off, "You may as long as you keep your clothes clean. Now come back in an hour, we'll be fine without music for now."

Huffy by her last statement, Atticus pouted at their mom before running off, singing praise for the pie they'd received. Running off as far away from the ball as possible, Atticus stole some utensils from the kitchen and hastily gobbled up the pie, dirtying their clothes in the process. With no plans for his next move, Atticus sped his way around the halls once more, leaving the utensils in the hallway with no time to waste until they reached the balcony.

Feeling the breeze always calmed them down, especially when locked up in some social event. Enjoying the breeze and moonlight, Atticus twirls around the floor, humming a sweet tune as they dance freely. As they fling themself against the balcony, the wings of a bird flapped towards them with a letter in its beak. “A cute little owl!” Atticus cooed as they made way for the owl to land and present the letter to them. “Oh! Is this for me? I wonder who it could be? A secret admirer, perhaps!?” Atticus wandered freely, taking the letter and opening it with a childlike curiosity.

"Atticus Angèle Bellamy. You were meant to be one of the brightest Jewels. Our box shows you a destiny you cannot fulfill without joining. Will you bother becoming a gemstone, and possibly the star of our shows?" Eyes glimmered with wonder and curiosity as they read it. “Really!? Yahoo!” Atticus cheered as they circled yes on the paper with a pen that they managed to find in one of their pockets before his body began promptly morphing into a new form. Ginger hair paired with green eyes and an even more cheeky expression than what they had before, Atticus had transformed into a new form and outfit before they were surrounded by bright light, a magic circle surrounding them as they were transported.

Being lured into another location by mysterious forces, Atticus imagined themself slipping into unconsciousness before they noticed that they weren’t tired one bit. Instead, they were in a glistening new room. “Welcome, Sunny Sunstone,” the deep voice of Moon Owl reached the ginger, who was looking around with a child-like curiosity and excitement. They greeted who took his hand out of nowhere and shook it wildly, as usual. When they were about to speak, the Moon Owl hushed his words as he continued, “You have decided to take part in the Jewel Box. Before you step foot in the most seeked out experiences of your life, I have one thing I have to mention.” Their eyes glimmered in curiosity as they smiled cheekily.

After their chat, Sunstone skipped away, smiling radiantly and spirits lifted. Their confident and gleeful spirits certainly emitted around them as they admired the well decorated area. They’ve just finished a conversation about their current status, coming to a shared conclusion that Sunstone would present as a male participant to preserve their family dignity. After looking around, he saw a veiled female. Walking up to her, Sunstone offered her their hand eagerly. "Hello there! Are you a participant too? I'm Sunstone. And tet me guess, your gem stone is... um... Amethyst! Am I right?"

APATITE

Scratching along a piece of paper was obvious as soft humming echoed around the dark room, a figure sitting at a desk. As the sun rose softly, the sound of waves crashing against the cliffside under her balcony window, the room lit up with the soft light. Her desk was littered with notebooks and albums from her work as WINTER, the popular singer from her kingdom - oak wood and floral carved patterns gleaming. Her bed was queen-sized, covered in navy blue silk. Ashryn, the crown princess of Sionia, stood up, stretching languidly as she sighed quietly. She heard the harsh echo of her mother's voice calling up the winding staircase to her room. "Ashryn! Get down here for breakfast. NOW!" Her voice cut through the still air of the castle as Ashryn groaned quietly. There would never be a dull day in her shoes if you ask her. Her nose wrinkled slightly before she descended the staircase, silver, and navy heels clicking with every step.

The young heir entered the dining room of her castle, her eyes easily finding her mother and her brother - the pang of loss and hurt hitting her hard as his ice-cold blue eyes met her own. Kerym and Ashryn hadn't been on good terms for ages now. Her mother sat at the head of the large table, her pink dress sparkling lightly as she studied her daughter, lacing her hands together before speaking. "As you know, before you turn 26, you need to marry - and if not then Sionia will turn to Kerym as king." She gestured to her youngest, raising an eyebrow as Ryn gave a heavy sigh and nodded her head slightly. Cerridwen tended a hand, a letter held in her fingers delicately. "This came for you last night."

Ashryn opened the letter, fancy handwriting greeting her eyes. As she quietly left the room, her mother watched her leave with narrowed eyes. The girl carefully sat down on her bed, a breeze playing with her hair as she studied the letter. A voice, mystical and mysterious, echoed around the room as a gorgeous owl appeared on her balcony, deep ebony-colored orbs resting on her as she studied the handwriting. "Ashryn Aella Dyrena. You were meant to be one of the brightest Jewels. Our box shows you a destiny you cannot fulfill without joining. Will you bother becoming a gemstone, and possibly the star of our shows? Two words stared up at her from the page, YES and NO. Taking a pencil, she carefully circled Yes, knowing she had no say in the whole thing given the time limit her mother had set up for her. Her kingdom came first.

A brilliant flash of light seared through the room, and when she opened her eyes her body was different. Silken strands fell over her shoulder in tones of light teal fading into light blue tips and as she stood up, the silk dress pooled around her feet gently. As she turned to stare at a mirror, her lips parted slightly in awe - her hair was braided into a half-up,half-down style, and her eyes had shifted from their usual turquoise tone to a sea green color and as she stared at the mirror she could also see light blue flecks dancing through them. A hand rested on her shoulder, turning her to face a mysterious man, his face covered by an elegant mask and she took an involuntary breath. His voice was the same as the owl as he introduced himself as Moon Owl and told her that she should venture down to the dining hall, where the other Jewels awaited. She knew which jewel she represented after discussing things with Moon Owl. Instead of Ashryn she represented Apatite, an accurate representation of the outfit she wore plus her personality combined.

Her feet were covered in deep navy, almost black, heeled boots as she strode into the hallway elegantly, the dress brushing the floor as she walked. The ombre light blue to navy blue overlay (with hints of violet) and the deep navy-colored dress. Finding a seat a bit more away from the two other participants, Apatite carefully sat down, long ringlets brushing the floor as she studied the other two carefully before she turned her attention to studying the room curiously. It was going to be a long, and hard, path to walk for this game. Apatite wasn't one to trust easily, especially considering her past and what she had to deal with.

The Bastard Prince of Ora
Golden Pearl
“Out of all faces… why his?”
It was just meant to be another night of busy work. Just Alessandro, paperwork, and a bottle of wine should he feel tempted. Which after the hell that was handling some of the affairs of a kingdom whose royal court hated him… yes he had a feeling he’d be tasting the bottle’s contents pretty soon.

But before he could muse on whether its contents would be sweeter or more bitter it appeared. Upon hearing a sudden thump sound beside him that nearly startled him out of his seat, Alessandro swiftly turned to see a metallic owl adorned with golden wings at his windowsill, a letter in its beak. Alessandro blinked, gazing at the owl with wide startled eyes. What was this? Some attempt to test out some new invention? He was aware of strides being made in robotics in the kingdom recently so perhaps just testing out to see how well the owl works and it was sent to his window for the fun of it. This could also be an assassination attempt for all he knew. Which he would not be surprised by but hm. What a way to go. Killed by a robot owl.

Fortunately, the latter did not occur as the owl just stood there. However, the owl did seem to come here with a purpose as Alessandro suddenly heard a voice echoing in his head.

“Alessandro Leopoldo Carafa. You were meant to be one of our brightest Jewels. Our box shows you a destiny you cannot fulfill without joining. Will you bother becoming a gemstone, and possibly the star of our shows?”

Alessandro blinked, eyes widening as he finally connected the dots on what was going on. He was being invited to the Jewel Box. A program he was very familiar with, all too used to it being broadcasted through Ora. A way to entertain and bring together its various citizens while broadcasting the kingdom’s advancements in broadcasting technology. And here he was. With the opportunity to be part of that very program.

He supposed it made sense. He was supposed to be king and well… here he was with no potential spouses. Yet still… it was hard to believe as he sat there, having no clue on how to respond. Only for the owl to hop onto his desk, dropping a note right on his work.

Alessandro flinched, quick to try and shoo away the owl from his things only to pause when noticed the contents of the note.

“Yes or No”

The choice he had to make. Alessandro stared at it, brow furrowing in thought. The choice was obvious. Likely a spouse would help him make a better impression in court and what better than a spouse that can strengthen an alliance. But truly… was there any chance he could just charm someone? He was informed time and time again that he was far from it throughout his life.

Alessandro shook his head, shooing away such doubts. Either way, he could play the role. So taking his quill, he quickly circled the “Yes” option.

And it seemed like the Jewel Box truly was intending him to play the part as after a brief conversation with the Moon Owl where he was named “Golden Pearl”, Alessandro was shown his reflection. Only to feel his stomach twist at the sight.

He looked too similar to him.

Too similar for comfort at least. There were differences. He was buffer, had broader shoulders, and his new appearance’s eyes were more like his own original green eyes but brighter rather than the bright amber his eyes were. To any other eye, the two of them would look different. Perhaps they may believe them to be family. Would be a first. But Alessandro found his eyes drawn to every single similarity between his reflection and his memories of Vincenzo.

And it felt like being spit in the face.

“Is this a joke?” Alessandro asked, turning to face the man with an eyepatch. Only to find he had vanished. Leaving Alessandro alone with this damned reflection he now had to call his face. Thankfully he was not left with it for long as in a blink of an eye, he was suddenly in some sort of main hall with detailed floors, chairs, and people already occupying them. The other contestants.

Alessandro took a deep breath, his expression unreadable as a declaration echoed in his head.

Fine. If it’s a Prince Charming you want, it’s a Prince Charming I can play.

With that, he observed everyone, consciously making a curious but slightly nervous expression. Only to notice a woman with sea green hair that brushed the floor as she sat in one of the chairs. Not interacting with anyone. Leaving the perfect opportunity for him to make a good first impression.

“Pardon,” Alessandro spoke up in a gentle but deep voice, his voice almost as soft as a lullaby. As he spoke, he gazed at the woman before making a sheepish smile as he gestured to the chair next to her. “Mind if I sit there?”

"True Love.. or Luck..?"

Clack! Clack! Clack! The footsteps of a feminine figure echoed through the halls of a manor when it stopped, the blonde figure knocked on a door

“Mother..? I have ..something.” She spoke with grace

“You may enter” a voice spoke from the inside, the blonde’s lips curved upwards, before entering the room. A taller figure with bright lavender hair was sitting in front of her desk, looking still into the book she was writing on.

“The maids could have delivered it to me you know, you did not need to have troubled yourself Lavinia” The woman spoke without averting her gaze.

“…But uhm.. I couldn’t.. this.. it is kind of important... would you take a look?” Lavinia awkwardly glances to the floor.

The woman, turned her gaze to Lavinia, then to her hands behind her. She quietly observed Lavinia’s awkward smile..

“Did you accept it?” She inquired, a slight smile formed on her lips, which took Lavinia by surprise.

“Mother— you know? This invitation— an owl had delivered it to me!.” She eagerly spoke. Her mother chuckled.

“Naturally, your expression says otherwise.. “ She stood up from her chair.

“You slightly remind me of myself when I first received the invitation” the woman started to walk towards the younger figure. She was silent for a few seconds, before she finally picked out the words she wanted to say.
“Time passes by so quickly huh, at one moment I had that same invitation in my hands, and now I’m standing here watching my daughter, go through the same path I once entered” the younger one was about to speak, she hesitated for a moment..

“Well? Are1742921464695.pngn’t you going to read it?” her mother prompted, she then handed her an inked feather..
1742921428841.png
“Mother..I.. I was about to ask you if..” she took a deep breath.. and gladly accepted the feather “I’m ready.. yes..” She claimed, staring at the unopened invitation.

She opened the letter and read it.

“Lavinia de Montford You were meant to be one of the brightest Jewels. Our box shows you a destiny you cannot fulfill without joining. Will you bother becoming a gemstone, and possibly the star of our shows?"

Her eyes sparkled as she absorbed the words; although, she was aware of the invitation's contents, reading it herself was exhilarating. She looked back at her mother, then at the letter

“Here goes nothing..” She spoke to herself.. before encircling “YES” on the letter. Just seconds after that, a large flash of light engulfed her surroundings. Her hair and eye color transformed into a striking dark teal-green color with a vibrant turqoise undersides, faded with purple/yellow hues. and her attire shifted to a white evening gown adorned with gold accents, complemented by a jewel that matched the hue of her eyes.
Her shoes morphed into a dramatic gold and green design, featuring a silver lining on the soles. The lady who was once a noble figure, is now representing a jewel.

Lavinia lightly stepped onto the floor and noticed the glimmering reflection of herself below.
"Astounding.." she thought to herself, observing her unfamiliarly new appearance on the cold marble glass floor. The Dark teal hair met with the bright color of viridian that suited her eyes, and flowing dark cyan dress that followed, she quietly swept her hair to her left.

"You look like you took your time" The sound of a man walking towards her startled her a bit. A man wearing a white mask stopped in front of her.
"Lady Lavina.. de Montford.." His voice kind of surprised her, she was expecting a man who was older than her, perhaps even older than her parents were. Or is he?
'perhaps it's just a fake appearance'.. she thought to herself.

"I hope you've mentally prepared yourself, you'll be joining the other jewels in the dining area soon" The masked man then picked up an item from the floor. "Miss, Labradorite" he reached his hand out to give her the feather that she unkowingly dropped, the same feather her mother gave to her and brought along with.. was now a piece of accessory, not knowing what to do with it, she held onto it gently.

"Oh thank you! Mr..?"

"My name is Moon Owl, the host of the Jewel Box, but you probably knew that already.." he spoke out loud.

"Hn, If you don't have any more questions, you may join the others" and with a snap of a finger, a white magic circle filled her surroundings with bright light thus she covered her eyes...Upon opening her eyes, she found herself standing on rock solid floor. Impulsively, began to strut in high heels full of self-confidence.. until She then noticed four other figures across from her, and thus became flustered.
She hurriedly walked towards the platform where the others and found a seat a bit further from the elegant sea green. Oddly enough the semblance in their color themes was slightly comforting for her. She then observed the guy with the bright blonde hair striking a conversation with her so comfortably, at least to her that's what it looked like.

She then noticed the man in orange and the other lady adorned in purple, she thought to herself how stunning everyone was.. and as nervous as she was, she felt excited to meet the others. She wanted to start a conversation with someone.. but just kept her thoughts to herself.. After she broke up with her fiancé, she isolated herself in her home, for two to three years.. thus she slightly forgot how to socialize again.

'They're all so.. astoundingly charming.. ' She thought, her eyes fixated upon the latter two. She clutched her skirt. 'Then.. I'll gave to try my best! I'll fall in love, marry , and be a successful lady! Whether if it's true love.. or just luck.. bring it on.

He entered like an omen. Clad in matte shades of charcoal sundered by splintered silver along the lapels of his vest. A blackened sky with streaks of lightning scorching roiling clouds assumed into a stylish ensemble. In his eyes, the same storm reflected. Somber, rumbling. There was no threat of rainfall, rather, the anticipation.

Silence was a dangerous tool for someone of his stature, and he wielded it with an uncanny grace. Long strides, none with a single squeak or tap of polished shoes. It wasn’t his first time wearing garments of such luxurious quality, but it was his first time feeling so…decorated. Not with badges that proved his rank and prowess in battle, but how a seamstress might dote on a mannequin.

Entering the main hall, Onyx’s hand reached for his hip so his fingers could wrap around the comfort of a sword hilt. Unfortunately, there was nothing there. Instead, he stuffed his hand into his pocket. Casual—uncaring. A stark contrast to the burgeoning anxiety swelling from the spaces between his ribs.

He’d promised himself not to become so fraught with nerves that it hindered his sociability, but how quickly that promise met a swift end. Though there’s a regal, almost distant mold to his face—expression caught in a deadpan passiveness—Onyx counted each Gem in the room. They were all gorgeous—men and women alike. Shimmering jewels straight from a pile of riches. Onyx felt lusterless by comparison.

A respectful bow is offered in greeting. His un-pocketed hand sincerely cupped over his chest where his heart squeezed, then he ambled over to an empty seat where he adjusted the cuff of his sleeve—not because it needed fixing, but because he needed his hands to have something to do.

O
dette was in bed reading. It was a book she had read many times before, and it was her favorite. The story was absolute perfection; it had fantasy adventure, drama, romance, and even comedy. She couldn't get enough of it. Odette finished the last chapter and sighed, and then closed the book. The book was her comfort whenever she needed to distract her mind. Recently, her parents had brought up marriage and the fact that she needed to choose a husband. It's not that she didn't want to; she actually wanted to get married and even have a family, but.....she had a hard time trusting people to even get close enough to someone like that. Odette got up out of her bed and set her book on the dresser. She took a look at herself in her reflection, looking at the scar on her face, and touched it lightly. There are many reasons why the scar bothered her, even though she acted like it never did. It was a reminder of what happened and the way people treated her because of the scar bothered her, and well, there was also a bit of vanity to it. What wealthy prince or noble would want a girl with an ugly scar on her face? Odette walked to her balcony door and opened it. The nice night, cool breeze hit her gently, and she walked out onto the balcony and looked at the stars and the moon shining brightly in the sky. She started humming to herself when suddenly she noticed an owl in the distance and to her surprise the flew right up to her. She noticed the owl was carrying a note and held out her hands. "Well, what do we have here? Not every night a girl has a mysterious owl deliver her a message, huh?" Odette said, amused with a curious glint to her eye.

"Odette Evermore."

Odette's eyes widened when she heard the owl speak.

"You were meant to be one of the brightest Jewels. Our box shows you a destiny you cannot fulfill without joining. Will you bother becoming a gemstone, and possibly the star of our shows?"

"Wait, seriously?? No way..." Odette opened the note, and it had a yes or no on it. "....." This might be her only chance to actually find real love, but.....she already had a hard time with trusting people, fully being part of the Jewel Box, where everyone's identity is hidden, would not help her paranoia. But then again.....it could be fun. Odette smirked a little and looked at the owl. "Alright, sure, I'm in. This might be fun." Even as she said that, though her stomach was a ball of nerves.

Suddenly, within seconds of her answer, a blinding bright white light surrounded which caused her to close her eyes. Then, suddenly, after a few minutes, she opened them and found herself in a new location. She looked down and noticed the beautiful dress she had on, and it had real diamonds on it. "Diamonds...." The dress even had a train. She had to admit it was pretty gorgeous, though it was also kind of a lot if she was being honest. Odette looked around and then her eyes widened as she caught her reflection in the glass pane. Her face looked different, but the same; it was strange. Her eyes shined like a diamond reflecting other colors. Her hair was shiny and white as snow, but the biggest change that caught her eye was the scar that was no longer there. She covered her mouth as the sound of surprise escaped her lips. Then a nervous laugh escaped her lips. "It's actually gone." She knew it was permanent, but.....the fact that it was gone made her feel emotional. She ran her hand through her hair. As a way to soothe herself and then breathed in.

"Welcome White Diamond"

Dia looked around to see where the voice was coming from, but didn't see anyone.

"You have decided to take part in the Jewel Box games, seeking the most best thing anyone would want. You have been morphed into someone new, to be learned as who you are-glamoured so appearances didn't matter here. With that said, I think it's time you met the others. Let's not keep them waiting."

Suddenly, Dia found herself in a room with the other contestants. She quickly hid the flusteredness she felt and glanced at the others in the room. She breathed in and walked further into the room with an air of confidence and her usual persona. She looked around at the seats and decided to sit next to the brooding-looking one dressed in black. She walked up to the seat. "I'm sure you don't mind if seat here, yeah?" Dia said with a smile as she sat down. Though it was slightly difficult. "Damn I hate this train," Dia said to herself annoyed.
"The scar...its really gone...to bad this isn't permeant.

The tunnel walls were shadowed with dimmed light, oil spilling out of the cracks occasional. Heavy footsteps caused by horses followed, and Valentin's feet gently kicked at the stirrup. After watching the outside the whole day, he decided to actually take something in his own hands. There were no traces of anxiety left for him to dwell about on, yet he was surely hiding it. The sight of a birthday cake at least four tiers tall, a room filled of all genders awaiting him...dangerous this year.

Up ahead, the general of the army; a lonesome female who stayed besides Valentin for many years, had paused. Her horse was hauled back, and a few sniffing sounds echoed about. "Your highness, we've found footprints." The black haired royal's frown deepened, and he quietly slid off the side of his ride. His hand extended out, and a looking was whipped into his palm with ease. Letting the glass reflect onto the dirtied floor, he could clearly see a faint powdery trail. Gunpowder, maybe? His fingers withdrew. "It's certainly not one of our guards, they all have armor. This one must've been worn by a villagers' shoe. I'm not sure what kind of commonfolk would decide to stoop this low."

Agnes recoiled at the sight, turning to face the many, many more soldiers right behind. "Their will be a change of plans. We will stay the night, and I'll have Prince Valentin escorted later depending on his wishes. Royd and his patrol can tell the other shift not to come. Leaving the site unprotected is a bad idea. We can all settle down for a drinks in the meantime, I'll be here searching the area with a few others." Valentin gave a questioning look to her, I don't want to leave, but she shrugged it off. Of course Agnes was anything but lenient.

The dark caverns, only illuminated by the lanterns all else held, was turned into a bustling hall in seconds. He shuffled his feet on the cobbled floors, gathering the threads before leading the horses out. Drinks clinked together, swords swept back into their scabbards. Fresh air met him, blowing his hair out of his face. The outfit that was forced upon him whenever he worked with the battlers hung a red hat over his head. One that symbolized both love and the blood lost. Three markings stained one cheek, not a tattoo but an unnatural birthmark he was given since the first age.

Agnes busied herself with tying the horses to the poles, but then two shiny bottles glimmered. He scoffed. "I'm not in the mood for alcohol. It's improper, especially when on duty. Try it yourself." The red-headed raised a brow. "Okay, okay. You're always like this, so why should I care. Just come inside before it's too late. I need you to inspect the clues anyways." Valentin gave a small nod, and soon she was off. He let go a breath he didn't know he had held in. Today was too rough, too filled with things to do. He had given up on trying to do what he was tasked with as well and bored himself.

Up above, wings flashed, nearly crashing into him if it weren't for his keen senses that told him to duck down. Valentin's lips parted in a grunt, but he adjusted himself in a kneel. Louder flaps of air sprayed over him, until eyes relocated on black beady eyes. He inhaled sharply, eyes wide for only a split second. A moonlit owl was waiting for his approach, a grand letter in it's beak. A voice also echoed in his mind, and he couldn't help but flinch on the inside. "Valentin Knight Lockehart. Every diamond does not go without polishing. Will you adorn the many fanciful jewels at our party? Destined to find a love you couldn't seek before? A new awakening awaits you, and with that, comes a star burning bright. A wish to be made true..."

With each passing word, the paper in hand unraveled with shining letters. Valentin didn't no what to think of it all, his heart was beating, and he couldn't help but glance back. A once in a moment chance, given to all royals. Other gemstones would be there, and even if he hated the noises one could make, it would be fascinating to take part in something he thought was only a dream. A slow sliding croak met the wrapping winds, steel against worn over leather. His on-hand blade cut a small sliver on his finger, and blood was pressed onto the "YES" sign. In seconds light blasted from the animal and note, and his body was grappled forward.

Chimes and bells entered his ears, and his pupils dilated for a split second. Valentin shuddered. Something was wrong. He had gone blind in a fleeting moment, and when he had opened and looked around he could've sworn he didn't see black hair anymore. A layer of white-blonde flooded over his shoulders, and clothes rippled with a new life. Contorted in muted hues, he was forced onto his feet once more. He lifted up one arm, wrist covered in neat ruffles that indicated the precise measurements all around.

"Picture Jasper," Valentin turned around to see a raven haired man well dressed in a fine shirt and slacks. An eye patch also wore over the other's eye, and he couldn't help but ponder over it. "The Jewel Box greets you in a spectacular way, in hopes you find what you were looking for. You are one of the last people to arrive, so may you step with a grand entrance." Moon Owl's hand-the name coming in his head within a heartbeat-pointed towards a hall of mirrors. Contestant's names were all filled out, with an elegant pose standing strong. He winced. He'd never look like that, but here he was.

One mirror was blackened, but lit up as soon as he touched it. His face glimmered to life, a dazzling beauty of both turquoise orbs and latte colors mixing together. In bolded letters was his jewled name. Jasper? What kind of stone reflected off of him? To be one with harmony, and one who shows others the right past. His own future is forged, grown from the islandic lands and soil itself. A wave of nausea filled him when his vision was warped. Jasper's hand spooned through his new hair. A formal braid curved some of it upwards in a ice fashion as well. When he looked up, he could see several other well-dressed people.

At thrones. Literal, over-priced chairs that carried an aura of the rich. He carried himself to the front, sitting down in between a few ladies and a few gentlemen. He wasn't so worried of who he was by, but much less being touched instead. The only thing he interacted with was the white glove that brightened his overall appearance.

❛ Ace Ametrine ❜
Ametrine, hands only slightly fiddling with the veil that clung to the back of her head, noticed a sunny young man approach her. Her lips pursed at the sight, but did not hold back from a small greeting. She slipped her hand into his, as if feeling welcome, but tittered at his assumption of her jewel. "That's not even close, dearest. Maybe you can try another guess, before I reveal my true gemstone to you?"

A small smile knocked through her face, though light, and on the inside it felt uncertain. She was pretty gloomy when besides Sunstone, but he didn't mind that at all. The other participants were silently filling the thrones, some making small chat with whoever was close. Someone looked like they were Aquamarine or Apatite, but Ametrine didn't have so much knowledge of crystals if she had to admit it.

A golden pearl idled besides the woman, and coming right after that was another sea-green lady. Was green and blues the new trend? Or had everyone's personalities just warped into something similar? Ametrine's breath, however, was taken away when a jewel coming in all black, and one all white appeared to be speaking with one another. Everyone was a beauty, but it made her queasy.

The final contestant appeared with golden locks that stood out against all, excluding the orange fiery flames that was licking a certain someone's shoulders. Emerald green eyes. Even he wasn't spared with the same colors. The 'prince' settled himself somewhere, and Ametrine's attention reversed back to Sunstone. "A hint is that I am a mix of two colors." She brushed a golden star attached to her veil.

Warmth.. or Coolth..

Labradorite, upon the throned chair adorned in black with gold linings, was fixing her hair slightly, feathered accessory in hand. While also quietly making short glimpses at her surroundings, she first observed the concrete pillars surrounding the chairs, then the golden Mandela-like pattern of the flooring, then back to the other contestants. Whenever she looks at the other Jewels it’s almost as if she was looking at living jewels, so bold.. so shiny.. She lightly smiled at the heart-warming atmosphere—despite her awkwardness and the cold breezy wind—this kind of environment reminded her of the mini galas she attended back then, when she was such a social butterfly.

When her eyes caught a small flash of light appeared in front of all of them. Standing from a far, a man in black appeared. ‘Another Jewel..’ She thought, crossing her legs. He was wearing a formal black attire that matched his hair and eye color, for a moment he looked kind of stiff for some reason, with an expression one can’t really read from afar. Another bright light appeared that followed after the Black Haired Jewel came to sit down here. A Lady in a white gown had materialized from the white glow that appeared earlier. Labradorite watched as her hair flowed vibrantly under the warm tones of the sun. The Graceful Ivory haired-Lady gently treaded towards a chair and talked to the Raven-haired Man.

‘She’s so confident..' she thought 'seems as though she’s just as luminous as her color’ Labradorite admired her ability to remain calm and upbeat at the same time, she sort of reminded her of herself back then. She also found it humorously interesting how both of the two’s colors contrast one another.

And yet, It seems as though she’s the only one who hasn’t interacted with anyone yet.. ‘Perhaps I could talk to one of them?’ She pondered ‘Yeah I think I should..’ She then stood from her seat when she suddenly spotted another bright flash of light that glowed, and a man popped out of it. The man also had blonde hair, but compared to the one earlier, this man had a lighter paled shade of blonde and leaned towards a warmer tone. Perhaps his character would match that appearance he manifested here? Lustrous Turquoise eyes were looking upon somewhere else..

“is he alright?” Labradorite questioned silently, she watched him sit at the final chair before turning to the rest. At the last moment, she had this urge to talk to someone, maybe this was her chance? But at the same time she felt a bit nervous just thinking of talking to someone in Public again.

Her left leg began to shake uncontrollably, choosing her words in her head before she might accidentally embarrass herself. Finally feeling confident. she stood from the chair she once laid comfort in, and slowly walked to the boy with summer blonde locks. She positioned her hands in front of herself before greeting him.
“Greetings” she curtseyed, she was about to speak when suddenly she was caught off guard by his Lustrous Turquoise orbs, an emerald gaze that reminded her of someone she knew once before... Henceforth, she quickly composed herself.

“You’re hair is.. quite a unique color blend.. and your eyes bear the same color of emeralds..if I had to guess.. you must be something like.. Agate..?” She blurted confidently, then paused. “Apologies, I couldn’t think of anything” she turned her gaze away and her fingers curled inward, feeling humiliated. The chill ambience suddenly felt warmer, like the winds that met her when she first arrived had disappeared to leave her onto her own, was it always this warm? Maybe it’s just the sun..

Yeah probably.

A little disappointment from Ametrine's answer wasn't a let-down for Sunstone's excitement as he continued to bounce guesses off of her. "Oooh, a jewel with two colors? You must be a very pretty- no, alluring jewel to have grace us! Is it Tanzanite? Ametrine? Tourmaline, even??" Bouncing their heals on the ground, their eyes glittering with excitement, wonder and curiosity before jumping into a throne next to her, "I like you, Ms. Mystery Jewel! May I accompany you for a bit longer! I'd love the chance to know you!"

They'd noticed a few other jewels entering the area when he finished throwing whichever guess that came to mind. A lady with the most gorgeous teal hair an an equally charming blond lord who sat next to her, a nervous blue haired with the most dazzling eyes he'd ever saw, a dazzling white haired lay an finally a gentleman with the most striking hair he'd ever seen. The intrigue of other people began to spike in their system, waving at those who walked in and a friendly greeting and toothy grin. "Hey everyone! Welcome welcome!"

Turning back to the purple decorated lay next to them, Sunstone pushed his back against the throne, kicking their feet in the air carelessly and a curious expression on them. "Oh, and by the way, I'm Sunstone!" they said whist offering a hand to her, "The gem of the joy and the sun! Nice to meet you!"

Anastasia & Nikola

scroll

The sound of soft clicks clacking on the smooth surface of the floor echoed around the room, Anastasia's leg shifting up and down every now and then. Her heels made lots of noise, but she was hiding her true feelings of this Jewel Box with patience. Her partner, Nikola, however didn't seem to care enough to hide his interest. The two of them matched in light blue pieces of clothing, each cuff decorated with thin lace of gold. Their job was simple, and even if the contestants didn't know, she and the blonde man was supposed to give off free entertainment and first-hand converse about what was happening.

The magic crystal settled in front of the duo shuttered on, a screen flickering to existence. Anastasia and Nikola have already checked out how all the Jewel looked like, but when the participants made their way to the watchers' eyes, they still drew in small gasps. Nikola's face wore a smile. "It's quite interesting how there seems to be small dynamics already forming between all of them, isn't it?" She chuckled slightly, brushing her hair to one shoulder.

"Maybe it's due to the works of Moon Owl's designing skills. He turned our beautiful gemstones into master pieces. It's kind of enticing to note we'll be counted on trying to find out which Royal is who." Anastasia pointed out. Nikola rolled his eyes, leaning back comfortably on the lavish green couches. "I'll be the first to crack the code, even if it has to come to 'ladies first'." Anastasia ignored his taunting argument, seeing the video play out. The familiar chairs always used in every Jewel Box were lines up together, each one filled with a fantasy.

Her gaze followed Nikola's own one, a purple lady currently being flattered by a bright ornament. "Here comes the first signs of interest coming from...Sunstone! It appears he might've went for the only one in the room at first, but is also enjoying his time." Nikola gave a wolfish grin. "But it seems Ametrine is amused by his antics. I couldn't really digest the fact orange and purple mixed well together until now, but if Halloween was a thing, I'd support it." She herself couldn't help but agree internally.

The next two people who arrived was a turquoise stone, followed by Golden Pearl. Small talk was happening between them, nothing more, and so the camera whizzed on to Black Onyx. Though he held such a dark glare, Nikolai's pride wasn't shrugged off. Anastasia raised a brow, curious. White Diamond, with a casual demeanor, pranced right over to the stoic man-dropping any formalities. "Our princess here must be a rebel!" She mused to Nikola, who gave a look of agreement, though light hearted.

Soon the last clip buzzed over Picture Jasper, and a very frightened Labradorite. Maybe not scared, but flustered. The beige haired, nearly something that came out of a romance novel, male gave only a little bit of a reaction. Time had paused there, like action was in wait. "You know, it's been a while since I've seen a rejection. All these contestants choose to just go with the flow from the very beginning." Anastasia was surprised at Nikola's statement.

"I fear that you actually want that to happen. I'm pretty sure everyone here has the courtesy to not do that. You know how their 'highnesses' are." The both of them shared a humorous but dagger-filled glare. Nikola and Anastasia had only been recently hired, and this was the first Jewel Box they would be reporting on. All other times came from viewing as an actual citizen.

Jasper didn't really expect to be approached, yet here he was sitting in his overly-decorate clothes, looking at a girl who was like the ocean waters. However, she was a bit different. Drifting off to more seaweed than the liquid itself. She was nervous, trembling a bit, but he himself was sure his appearance changed enough that his usual piercing glare was wiped off with something more...casual. He got to his feet as well, bowing.

The Jewel Box expected acting, and some acting would the audience get. Valentin was in no right mind to be here in such vastly clean place. He was a man looking forward to the upcoming battles that might be faced in his kingdom. But here? As Jasper? He was able to pretend to be a different royal. He disliked most of the other high status who were bordered by their own knights, but the time had come to get along. Jasper tilted his head.

"Agate? Well, that comes in different shades. I doubt the system would pick a gemstone for me that wasn't specified. You can call me Jasper, short for Picture Jasper." The turquoise female seemed to have gotten a bit embarrassed, and he couldn't help but wonder why. "There's no need to apologize for something you didn't need to excuse yourself for. I'm not quite sure of what you are." My days in the mines were...not explicitly attached to jewels!

Jasper motioned back to the chair. "If you care to tell me your name as well, I don't mind sharing the seats with such an amusing lass."

APATITE

Piercing orbs swiveled as a voice spoke near her, her gaze taking in the golden hair to his easy-going demeanor. Her head tilted slightly, orbs dazzling as blue flecks danced throughout the oceanic gaze. She waved a hand at the seat next to her "Help yourself." Her tone was cool, collected, and calm. Her voice was silky and light as she rested her cheek against one of her hands, eyes moving away from the new participant and venturing out the window carefully. The girl couldn't help the flash of curiosity go through her mind as she noted other jewels appearing in the room.

Her attention returned to the blonde-haired male who decided to sit next to her and she studied him curiously. Her long ringlets of turquoise brushed her back gently as she hummed softly before deciding to speak. "I'm Apatite." Her soft voice was barely audible - the cool tone still there but just a hint warmer than before. "And you are?" The manners her mother had drilled into her mind came through as she returned her gaze to the windows and awaited a response. Her fingers played along the hem of the dress she wore - fingers gliding across the glittering silk material.

A pang of sadness hit her heart as she watched other jewels begin to murmur and chat amongst themselves. The memory of her little brother playing across her mind. She remembered how close the duo had been - when her mother had not gotten in the way and destroyed what little good thing in her life that she had. The blue gemstone shook herself free from memory lane - chips of ice dancing throughout her orbs as she focused on her fingers. Feeling so out of place amongst such civil and talkative royals. As WINTER, Apatite was used to speaking in her informal, more laid-back persona, whereas as the heiress and princess of her kingdom, she was serious, collected, and cold as ice itself.

The Bastard Prince of Ora
Golden Pearl
“And thus... the games begin.”
Upon hearing the positive reply, Pearl consciously reacted accordingly, having his polite smile widen ever so slightly with his olive colored eyes crinkling ever so slightly. Looking simply happy to just be given the chance to sit down beside the woman when, internally, he found himself observing very closely. Noticing the flecks in her eyes as they soon turned towards the window as soon as those two words left her lips. The cool, calm tone she spoke in that betrayed little emotion, matching the expression on her face. The way she laid her hand in her cheek as one would do when getting lost in her thoughts.

She was a distant one. Made sense. Everyone here was a royal who was unmarried for one reason or another. A more aloof personality, paired with a number of circumstances, could easily serve as an underlying cause. The question was, what were these thoughts that she may be getting so lost in? Something Pearl was determined to answer, set on dissecting the mind of everyone in this room and using that to his advantage. But for now, he focused on playing the role the box seemed to assign him as he placed a hand on his chest and made a small bow to her. “Many thanks, ma’m.”

With that, he approached the chairs and sat down in the one next to the turquoise-haired woman, being careful not to step on the ballgown of the woman now sitting on the other side of the chair as he took a moment to observe her. She was draped in white, with hair that resembled the snow and a diamond-studded ballgown that flared around her. One that she seemed to be getting used to as he heard her mumble about the train, inciting him to give her a sympathetic smile as he sat down next to her. He then looked up to note the taller, if not slightly imposing man that sat beside her. In contrast to the blinding white that draped the woman directly next to him, he was clad in shades of black, only broken up by silver accents. Like lightning amidst a dark storm. Certainly fitting for his stormy countenance as he adjusted his sleeve repeatedly, a detail that intrigued the prince. Nonetheless, refusing to let his curiosity distract him to the point of staring, he also gave the stoic man a smile and a courteous nod before turning back forward to observe everyone else present.

And people of note continued to grab Pearl’s attention as not even a second after he looked away from the royals that sat on his right, another man, this time a rather enthusiastic-looking redhead draped in a multitude of vibrant warm colors, called out to seemingly everyone, certainly grabbing his attention. He enthusiastically greeted everyone, welcoming them, before nonchalantly continuing his conversation with the woman standing next to him who wore a purple and black dress with star star-covered veil Pearl noticed her slightly fiddle with. A gloomy night to the sunny disposition of the prince draped in reds and some greens as she was glancing around the room while the prince was eager to talk to her or simply anyone.

It truly seemed that they had gathered quite the diverse crowd.

Before Pearl could observe further, the turquoise-haired woman from before spoke to him, causing him to glance over with a slightly surprised expression. As though he wasn’t expecting her to continue speaking to him. And Pearl had to admit, with the way woman immediately turned away from him, he wasn’t expecting any sort of small talk. Especially in a slightly warmer tone.

interesting.

“Ah, yes. We’re using gemstone names. I’ve almost forgotten,” Golden Pearl chuckled sheepishly, playing the endearing fool for now as he scratched his cheek gently with his index finger. Acting as a fish out of water rather than the one attempting to be. He then gazed at the woman with a warm smile and a kind look in his eyes, the images of how his brother smiled hanging in his mind as he tried to mimic the memories. “I’m Golden Pearl. It’s a pleasure to meet you, Lady Apatite. Or would you prefer if I just call you Apatite? Forgive me for all the questions. I suppose I am still trying to understand how formal we are expected to be here.”

Ametrine couldn't help but hide her forming smirk with the back of her hand. This was heavily enjoyable, and when Sunstone managed to guess her true name, she nodded. "Precisely done, I am Ametrine. The thought of letting you entertain my future has me delighted, so you may follow any time." She watched as the orange jewel made efforts to welcome everyone in. Note 1: Sunstone is a kind royal.

Synove had her fair share of gatherings between some kingdoms, but she did wonder who's personality would be the easiest to seek. Some heirs and heiresses were already married, but she couldn't tell who was and wasn't in this year's box. Though, the thing that amused her the most so far, was when the guy besides her started to reintroduce him once more. "Oh really?" She hummed.

"Sunstone, the gemstone of the light, one that I think didn't ring a bell inside my head before. I'm afraid I already heard you introduce once, but...it's charming when your so excited." Ametrine let her gloved hands rest on her lap once more. "So, Sunstone," She drew out his name as if to tease him further. "I can't say I know you directly...but you do remind me of someone." She looked at them. It was a mere lie-she wanted to know if Sunstone would flinch from the answer, or just react normally. If he thought she knew his identity...the game would continue well.

Confidence.. and Diffident

Labradorite felt the wind blowing stop at the moment. Her eyes traced back to the flash of soft yet bright emerald eyes and composed herself. The dilemma she was under earlier suddenly eased up, like it disappeared after she realized, maybe this isn’t going so bad..
“Very well then, Sir.. Picture Jasper?” She raised an eyebrow, before gently sitting down upon the chair, instead of folding her legs like usual, she kept her feet together, her heels slightly leaning to the side. Maybe it’s her heels but it feels as though her feet overreach the floor, a bit uncomfortable. She placed her hands on her lap, sighing a bit.

“The Jewel I was assigned with is.. the kind I doubt many has ever heard of..” She turned her head somewhat towards the ash blonde boy.
“Labradorite? If you’ve heard of it..” And she paused, waiting for his reaction before attention was caught by the white seagulls above the blue horizon. She smiled, admiring how beautiful the shimmering sea was from afar.

“As for Picture Jasper... well, I’ve only ever heard of the Jasper mineral, people say it brings some kind of protection upon them, perhaps it would apply to an earthy jasper? I think it's something that rather connects more to it's colors.. from the grounds of the earth.. I assume it had something with your character? with why you were given this very specific jewel.." she turned her gaze to the white decorated marble floor.

"What do you think..uh...” The sea-green jewel turned her attention to face him properly when all of a sudden, she realized she'd been blithering for a while now.. before she knew it she immediately covered her lips with her fingers.
“Forgive me.. was I talking too much..?” Her voice was a bit quieter than earlier, her eyes only met halfway of his direction..Did she let her sudden confidence take over her earlier? Because now she feels as though she had let herself get swayed by it without thinking.

‘I might as well fail right this hour if I mess up once more..’ The sea green jewel thought to herself.. Perhaps she just needs to take things slow for now, it’s been quite a long time since she properly conversed with someone outside her manor after all. And thus they slowly began conversing while waiting.
