Multiple Settings [gritty] fandom/oc search

hi there! my name's morgan, i'm 22, and i use she/her pronouns. i've been writing for over a decade, starting with cats, to dragons, and eventually to humans! point is, i've been everywhere and am here to throw some ideas into the void and see if anyone's interested !! this is my first time advertising on this forum, so please bear with me. some things to know about me: i generally write literate, ranging anywhere from 500-2,000 words. i absolutely adore ooc chatter and am very enthusiastic. i love worldbuilding and breathing life into a verse with side characters. playlists, pinterest boards, etc are things i love making! character studies are also my bread and butter, and i'm very likely to spend a lot of time in my character's head, explaining how they see the world and view your character. replies can be slow at times, but i'm always interested in writing with you if we have a plot going. i'm open to exploring mxm, fxf, mxf, nbxa, and more. i only roleplay with people who are 18+. i adore dark, gritty, and slice of life themes. i can play canon characters or original characters. i will adore your character, no matter who you bring to me.

ocs first !

• samson mayer [ bisexual, mid to late 20s/early 30s ] - unhinged cult leader who is the absolute worst actually! some inspo for his character was taken from a music album, but the gist goes … leader of a cult who’s big on sex and psychedelics, here for a good time not a long time, uhh genuinely believes whatever bullshit he spouts off! he talks in a fake british accent and samson is definitely not his birth name. i don’t think he really knows what his life mission is yet, but he’s the kinda dude that would kill someone and be like hell yea! this is my mission! still kind of developing this guy BUT. here he is …
• knox ford [ gay, 25 ish] - heroin-addicted tambourine player for a band called the saint suicides. this guy couldn’t hate his life any more, at least depending upon the TIMELINE … pre saints? he’s vibing. he’s having a great time. partying it up, being an agent of chaos. while he’s in the saint suicides? all good and fine until the lead singer turns out to be an absolutely terrible person aaaand after they break up knox is kinda trapped in the band. post saints, knox is jaded and quiet and doesn’t really know what to do with life anymore. def my most developed oc!!

now on to canons !

• blake langermann [ bisexual but doesn’t realize it yet, 32 ] - from the video game outlast 2. this guy actually has very little backstory or development in the game, especially personality wise, so. i kinda treat him as my own oc! he’s an investigative journalist alongside his wife ( named lynn ) who both go through absolute hell trying to uncover the mystery of a pregnant jane doe who died under suspicious circumstances. it’s hard to go into the full thing here but, gist is: blake and lynn take a helicopter above some land, the helicopter crashes and everyone is separated, blake tries to find lynn and ends up having to save her from a cult who’s hellbent on killing both of them, then lynn dies giving birth to their baby … which uh, the baby actually isn’t even real! it’s a whole shared hallucination bc some company is doing experiments on the village, hence why they turned into a cult. blake doesn’t have a good time and comes out with a dead wife, gains some scars from the whole experience, not fun stuff. well. not fun for him. fun for me !! also he’s catholic and has no clue he’s bisexual lol. that will be a SHOCK.
• marius josipovic [ bisexual, 30 ish ] - from the show sneaky pete. a chronically irritated conman who does not put up with people’s shit!! he’s got a mouth on him but he also knows how to manipulate and be polite when it suits him. when he’s super irritated, however, expect him to say some rude shit. he literally doesn’t care. he ends up going to prison to escape this mobster he owes money to, has a younger brother, kinda had a shitty childhood … then he gets realeased from prison and is doing his best to stay alive! he will con you with no remorse and he’s also great at poker. but, surprisingly, he can be compassionate and feel bad for people - but he kind of is a liar at heart and is always quick to come up with a bullshit story. very slippery, can get out of bad situations, but always finds himself mixed up in them ( he’s greedy!! ). overall he is MY man i luv him.
• root groves [ lesbian, 36 ] - from the show person of interest. batshit hacker whose god is literally a machine! she’s on one side and one side only, very vengeful and will absolutely kill anyone who gets in her way, but she doesn’t necessarily love doing that. nonetheless, she’s dedicated and loyal and very very skilled. root is also charismatic and flirty and just … so much fun!
• dylan massett [ bisexual, 26 ] - from the show bates motel. dylan is a guy who is completely lost and has a pretty terrible relationship with his family. despite this, he ends up finding his mom ( and half brother ) again and lives with them for a while. his younger brother, norman, shows some… violent and concerning tendencies! dylan tries to get him out of the situation with their mom, but in the end, he can’t really do anything and has to leave. dylan also finds out some really fucked up things surrounding his birth and has a sort of mental breakdown over it. he’s a good guy, sarcastic and tired of getting dragged into shit, but somehow always gets dragged back into the drama … he really does care about his fam, he just hates that he can’t help them more. and also hates that he can never seem to get away.
