ᴋᴇɴ ᴛᴀᴋᴀᴋᴜʀᴀ "ᴏᴋᴀʀᴜɴ"
∘₊✧────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────✧₊∘

Okarun’s breaths grew shallow, his heart beating fast as he took in the impossible, bizarre landscape around him. He was completely and utterly lost; his surroundings were nothing like the world he’d left behind seconds ago. Instead of familiar streets and faces, everything was strange... Massive, twisted trees loomed in the distance, while tiny sparkles of light...almost like glowing insects, floated through the dense mist that swirled around the field. Each breath he took felt thick, making it seem like the very air was trying to suffocate him. His mind raced as he tried to make sense of it, but each passing second seemed to only heighten his dread. It was as if everything around him was closing in, crushing him from all sides.

This can’t be happening. This can’t be happening.

"Uh—uh, hold on—" His voice was barely more than a shaky whisper as he stumbled backward, clutching at his chest as though pressing down would somehow slow his racing heartbeat. "This… you… this isn’t real, right? Like, I’m dreaming or something? Or, like, this is some kind of bad prank? I was just… on my way home from school. And now—now you’re saying I have to go to… to some dungeon? With demons? And some kind of… death flower?! I… I can’t—" His words tumbled out, faster and more panicked with each words. The unfamiliar wizards around him were talking as though this was just a normal day for them, but for Okarun, it was anything but.

He struggled to breathe, each inhalation feeling more like a desperate gasp, his vision blurring as he swayed. His knees felt like they were about to give out beneath him, and he fought the urge to sit down, afraid he might pass out if he stopped moving. He muttered to himself, trying to make some kind of sense out of this nightmare. “Wait a second… This has to be some kind of… alien illusion thing, right?” he reasoned, his voice trembling. “Just like when that Flatwoods Monster created that weird space in Miss Ayase’s house…”

The thought of Momo made his chest tighten with worry... Where was she? Had she been pulled into this strange world too? He hadn’t seen her since they’d both been sucked through that portal, but he clung to the hope that she was here somewhere, and not stranded back in their world, confused and worrying about where he’d gone. The thought of her facing all this alone sent another wave of anxiety crashing over him, his vision tunneling as he felt himself growing even dizzier.

Okarun inhaled a deep breath, sighing to relieve all he absorbed." 1..2..3..4..5..why am i counting?" he blinked as he glared at the people around here. They all seem strange..but look like normal people at least. "Wait a second, i think i understand now! we were all abducted by aliens and now we are one some alien planet...and now they're going to do experiments on us." the thought made him whole body shiver and his face grew pale." either that..or this is a wicked fever dream.."

Linkle
The Cucco and Crossbow Crusader
linkle-legend-of-zelda-hyrule-warriors-800x445.jpg

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Linkle led a simple life. Sure, nobody would expect a hero to have come from raising Cuccos to wielding crossbows, but that didn't faze her a bit. She had finally proven herself to be a hero after all, and she had proved her entire village wrong! Still, she felt empty in a way, now that the War Across the Ages had come to a close. Now that she had gotten a taste of adventure, she was reluctant to return to her quiet life as the weird Cucco girl who had an obsession with the Hero of Legend.

So when she was taken to the strange land of Vespertine, and learned why they were there from the strange sorcerers (with rather cute names, she thought), it was all she could do to not let out a squeal of excitement. Rather than show panic and anger when she was roped into the plot to save Princess Andromeda by getting some flower from some Under Realm, she dusted off her tunic, stood up straight and tall, and raised a gloved hand in a salute. "My name's Linkle, sirs, and it'd be an honor to help you save your beloved princess from that evil bastard's curse!" she chirped. The contents of what lay in her future weren't important to the young Hylian. What did matter was that she was going on a new adventure!

It was at that moment, as she followed behind the two wizards, that she became aware of everyone else's reactions to the fact that quite simply, they were thrust into a quest against their will. Most of them were furious, some of them demanding why they should listen to the wizards while others asked for proof of what they were doing was the right thing.

"Why wouldn't you want to help?" she asked aloud, her brows furrowed as she tried to comprehend it. It was clear that the princess needed saving. If they didn't get this flower for her, everyone that lived here would be sentenced to life under the rule of a demon emperor, if not worse. Were all these people being selfish or what?? Did they not see the joy and honor of stepping up and being a hero? For some, that was evident. She could clearly see a few individuals who wanted to go home just because this was an inconvenience to them, not because they had anything better to do!

These thoughts flitted through the blondes mind, until a shaking voice caught her attention. Glancing around, her blue eyes landed on a young man with glasses and rather unruly hair who looked like he was about to faint with fear. She continued to follow the wizards, but sort of sidestepped over to him. She reached out and placed a hand on his back, trying to comfort him. "Hey, are you okay?" she asked gently, observing his face. He looked pale and almost nauseous. She hesitated, before she offered him a consoling smile. "There, there. It's going to be alright, there's no need to panic."

She then motioned towards the others in the party, before pointing towards herself as well. "I mean, we do have quite a lot of people here. And look at some of the swords, staffs, and other things that all these people have! Nothing will be able to lay a scratch on us, I'm sure!"

The excitement in her eyes had cooled down to a mild gentleness. "And hey, I know we're in a strange place with strange people right now, away from all our friends and family. But in the meantime, you can be friends with me," she declared, holding out her hand for a handshake. "I'm Linkle, and you are...?"

Kunikida yet again somehow got roped into doing Dazai’s work while he went out to do ‘important stuff’ in his ‘free time’ dragging Atsushi out the door with him. The blonde ADA agent knows that’s a load of bull shit knowing Dazai is trying to get out of his responsibilities for the thousandth time, probably torturing Atsushi. Already irritable by Dazai slacking off work and dumping his job on his shoulders. He went off on Dazai, scolding him. The brunette, already in trouble, made a crude joke at his expense. The tips of Kunikida’s ears turned pink, a vein throbbed. His hand reached for the nearest glass, throwing it at Dazai’s head, he grabbed one after the other and threw in his rage, the glass made a solid connection to Dazai’s head. Blinded by his anger, he didn’t seem to notice Atsushi taking cover under the desk, to keep himself from being in the line of fire of Kunikida’s wrath.

Just as he reached for another glass, Dazai disappeared for unexplainable reasons. An angry, confused, mutter passed his lips. Atsushi looked similarly confused as him. Kunikida didn't have time to think how long the teen was under the desk for when Atsushi upped and disappeared unexpectedly. He followed the other two shortly, waking up in a strange cabin. Confused and angry as it is, he stomped out of there, an elven girl mentioned something or other of saving a princess from a curse. He stopped listening as he spotted Dazai among them, his bandaged face is difficult to miss.
He charged over to Dazai. “ DAZAI!! I AM NOT DONE WITH YOU!!” He stomps over to the brunette, kicking him as hard as he can as Dazai falls flat on his face. He hovered over the brunette, breathing heavily. “ Are you trying to run the ADA’s name through the mud? You have important stuff to do in your free time, my ass!”
He grabs Dazai by the back of his coat collar, roughly lifting him up, forcing him to face him, shaking the brunette back and forth. “ You’re so keen on committing suicide I’ll strangle you with my own hands!!” He spat, his vein throbbing once again, incensed by Dazai’s slacking ways, his bull shit set Kunikida off. The crude joke only served to escalate the already, brunette in trouble, with Kunikida, brewing in the ADA headquarters.

Basil and Parsley glanced at each other as they were met with a torrent of backlash! Basil raised an eyebrow, unimpressed by everyone's threats and demands and anger in general. "We don't have time for this..." he scoffed, looking around at the group from behind his rectangular lenses before promptly turning on his heel and continuing to walk down the field, his extravagant robes fluttering in the breeze like the grass beneath his feet. "Parsley, do what you must to convince them. I'm off to find Fauna myself."

Parsley whirled around, gobsmacked, as his older brother left him to deal with all these unhappy foreigners. "Where are you going?! Basil!"

Still, the other wizard continued walking, perhaps slightly faster now.

Turning around, Parsley grit his teeth and endured the tsunami of negativity alone, his eyes watering from the sting each shout inflicted on not only his emotions, but his conscience. He tried to speak, but the voices coming from all angles only drowned his soft voice out.

He knew it was wrong. And he did genuinely want to send them back home. But they didn't have a choice, Basil and Parsley.

Only one or two of these people actually seemed keen to help them.

He had to make them see. He had to make them understand what kind of pressure they were under, what consequences their failure could bring.

So, with a determined huff, the young apprentice wiped the years from his eyes and pulled out his wand from inside his robes.

Instead of pointing it at the horde of angry people, however, he pointed it towards the sky, and uttered, "Spectaculum."

A sudden bang pierced the serenity of the field as a smoky, lavender cloud erupted from the tip of his wand. The cloud grew larger, and stronger, in the sky above, darker figures growing more visible in the cloud itself. It grew until it seemed like the heavens within a 1 mile radius above them were completely enchanted thanks to Parsley.

Once the cloud grew to its biggest point, Parsley began, pushing his glasses further onto the bridge of his nose, "You all think you're so important? You all want to know everything? Fine. I will tell you everything I know."

Inside the lavender cloud, formed three figures. One, hazy and undefined, one, clearly the silhouette of a person, and the third, a creature of vicious and towering stature, clearly capable of cruelty.

"Long ago, there were three spirits who resided over everything. The heavenly, the mortal, and the satanic. The satanic, well, they are just as they sound. Ruthless, vile, the worst of all spirits. They are normally corrupt spirits who are dragged down to the Under Realm by the Demon Emperor, Galangal, Lord of the Damned, King of the Under Realm.

Next, there are the heavenly. Not much is known about them, other that they were benign souls who blessed mortals with miracles and marvels, using their magic abilities."

The wizard's ears reddened a bit as he said this, but he continued.

"And the mortals, well, they are mostly just your average people. The people who live in Vespertine."

The cloud began to change, the three silhouettes melting into each other and forming into a large flower.

"One of the greatest miracles the heavenly had given Vespertine was the Blazei Flower. It once flourished over Vespertine, and had all sorts of wonderful properties to it. It was said that simply smelling the scent of this flower could help heal injuries, and that drinking the essence of the flower would cleanse the soul of all physical, mental, and spiritual wounds, essentially purifying the person. However, these effects were only effective on mortals. Demons couldn't use it."

The silhouette of the flower then suddenly burst into flames within the cloud, the cloud darkening and turning gray and stormy. Parsley's tone turned grave as he began, "Galangal, learning that mortals were using this plant to purify themselves of all weakness, sins, and corruption, went into a rage, waging a most brutal war on all of mankind."

The cloud showed gruesome silhouettes of men, women, even children, being killed in the mos terrible ways, until the cloud lightened into its misty lavender once more.

"The heavenly began to fight back in the name of the mortals they cherished so dearly, and they were able to seal Galangal away into the Under Realm, at the cost of the extinction of almost their entire kind, and the extinction of all the Blazei Flowers on the Surface Realm.

However, the Blazei war had ended, and the mortals had been saved, albeit at the most tremendous cost. They had lost their cherished flower, and it now only grows in the under realm. And so, mortals were once more sentenced to the possibility of damnnation for all eternity."

The cloud depicted screaming souls being dragged into a pit of fire by the ankles.

"But that wasn't enough for Galangal. He wanted to control everything, to make mortals pay for daring to defy their fates in the afterlife thanks to the Blazei flower."

The lavender cloud began churning and darkening again, and now it illustrated a sleeping woman lying underneath the grotesque shadow of Galangal, before she was swallowed whole by the darkness.

"He intends to start with the one thing preventing him from ruling Vespertine- the crown princess, Andromeda. And once she's out of the way, we will have no choice but to succumb to Galangal's tyranny...and every single one of us..."

The cloud turned from a dark midnight purple to pitch black, screams magically echoing from inside the cloud, growing louder, and louder, and louder...

"...We'll all be sentenced to endless torture once we perish. Forever."

The mage looked up at the sky, at the pitch black, swirling void of shrieks, his lips pressed tightly together, before he quickly raised his wand again, and shouted, "Perfectum spectaculum!"

And just like that, the screams began fading away, with the rest of the void of dark cloud, until churning night turned into soft day, the sun pouring over the area which had just seconds ago been dimmed by an artificial night.

"Thanks Dude!" Prompto said to Pyralis. He really appreciated that the winged man helped him.
Bakugo turned his attention toward Pyralis. A another winged hero, like Hawks.
Bakugo smirked."Champion of the Gods? What's your quirk to go with that claim? My quirk can blow you with one blast! I shall make you remember my hero name, King Explosion Murder God...Dynamight!!!"
"Guys....this is getting out of hand!" Prompto said. He was still nurcing his injured cheek. Did he have any potions on him. He didn't know.

"Quirk? Oh, you mean power?" Pyralis questioned. "Well, my mother was Nyx, but I didn't inherit too much from her in the way of godly abilities. But I can do this." Pyralis pointed his finger down at Bakugo's shadow, then flicked it up towards his head. The world would suddenly go almost pitch black to bakugo, as if it was covered in shadow. Pyralis had simply moved his shadow to blind the hero-in-training.
"And I wouldn't go claiming to be a god, unless you want the real gods to smite you. Poseidon and Zeus especially can be petty about that. And maybe instead of asking what a person's powers are, ask what they've actually done to back up their claims. There's been many heroes that don't have anything other than a blessing or even their wits and they end up achieving great things."

Pyralis then turned once Parsley began speaking, watching the clouds change with wonder.
This story was similar, yet so different from what he knew in his own world.
"I understand. And I would love to help, but my own world is under attack by the Titans and the gods are missing and-- and I don't even feel qualified to deal with my world's problems! How am I supposed to be qualified to help yours? Sorry, I-- I just don't know if I can do this. And if I die here... then I'm never going to see Hermes again, and I can't do that!"

He had just landed with a great thud when he spotted his subordinate-well, apprentice questioning his humanity in the corner. Dazai would be too if it weren't for where they both were in now-but in reality, he didn't want to put too much thought on it. The brunette was already coddling with the white haired boy when a rough voice spoke to him. Dazai had expected this and only teased Atsushi further on his thoughts, but he really didn't think smelling a rabid dog was the next thing to do on his list.

"Oho, Atsushi-Kun~! Did you hear that? I think I must be getting sick again from all the work overload. Or maybe it was just the sound of rat scuttling by. I wouldn't bother with it if I were you."

He grinned, only sighing when Atsushi just shrugged him off like a fly. But none the less, he had noticed the one who had called out too him but chose to ignore them. A mere glance was shot to the well dressed man-Akutagawa. The younger one always seemed to have a scowl, something Dazai learned to keep away from his own face. But the bandaged man wasn't quite free yet because a sudden startling yelling spout arouse and before he knew it, he was being thrown around recklessly in the arms of his own partner. When had poor Kunikida came?

Dazai didn't plan on eating dirt either, but the only thing now leaving his mouth were handfuls of it's cakey texture. His undershirt was also getting quite wrenched up a bit too much that he decided enough was enough.

"Kuniiiii-kiiiiiii-duhhh! You know being angry can cause severe increase of aging. And your wrinkles will leave scars in ways that make you look hideous then how you already are! You should really write that down in that trusty handbook of yours, riggghttt?"

This gave Dazai enough time to actually understand his surroundings. Parsley seemed to have just taken charge, but foccusing was always a problem for him. A purple cloud appeared only to vanish-how useless! Though, there was true potential. Perhaps there was more to it than he thought. He changed his facial expression, forgetting for a moment he was with the blonde man.

Kinch -- Ajaw

As much as Parsley seemed to be trying to convince everyone, it didn't satisfy the reasoning for Kinich. He had his own mind made up-and it didn't seem like everyone could really leave without complying first. He would be helping no matter his own thoughts on the mission-simply because it was tradition to help one in need. But that wasn't like he cared to much about the life humans lived either. Someone wanted him dead either way-someone probably would also need help getting persuaded. But that wasn't going to happen. Ajaw always got forced into situations he didn't like because this was Kinich's body, not Ajaw's.

Everyone else seemed to be thinking their own choices too, yet there were also few just bickering aloud in a heat that could break one's ear drums. Kinich just pursed his lips. "A flower in need of being found to protect those in danger of being controlled from the one close to ruling. This situation seemed to have called the worst people at the time, because all I see right now are....fools."

The last part was muttered.

"Woohoo, at least you agree with me on something! Though I'd prefer to never be associated with a person like you. You know how painful it is to just sit by and wait for you to die only to see you live one more day and breathe another breath?! Oh god, I would kill you if I could, but I am cursed to the contract."

"Then I'm vey much thankful to the ones above who let you be in pain."

He shut his eyes, hearing Ajaw already start to let out more angry splutters. A small toot sounded and Kinich waved Ajaw away from his face-where Ajaw was pretending Kinich had glasses and was blowing one of those party noisers.

"I'm not sure if you'll welcome these others or scare them away now, Ajaw....though I think it's likely the second."

His cold eyes stirred, he maintained that scowl on his face. I’m being compared to a rat…? Also he’s ignoring me. When will he notice my growth? His stare affixed on Dazai. Akutagawa figured he and Kunikida are always like this as their partnership in the ADA. He overhears Parsley explain himself- the plume of lavender cloud dissipated. He’s been through the torturous hell of his childhood growing up in the slums and didn’t want to experience that hell again.

And Akutagawa is against torturing his targets, preferably finishing his intended job as quickly and efficiently as possible. He didn’t budge or give any Indication he agreed to help. “ Finding a flower to help protect those people from the big bad sounds pretty unconvincing to me. And downright foolish.

Finding the Blazei flower seemed like a needle in a haystack. If it’s sought after with its powers, surely there are others seeking to harvest it. Whatever it may be, the brothers didn’t come off as convincing, nor trustworthy. He looked at Parsley, his face explained his distrust of them. And going off through the hell gate means having to work along with Kunikida and Jinko. No one, not even the herb, oddly named brother can make him want to work along with the weretiger.

You can’t possibly get me to work with Jinko,” He said, closing his eyes.

Shirabe stated matter-of-factly.

The fact this coat wearing blonde boy also knew enough about alchemy to ask, drew Shirabe's stare. The only people that tend to know that kind of thing aren't "normal". Which meant he was either in a special organization of some kind or an actual Alchemist himself. Looking at everyone here, quite a few fell into one of those two categories. Only a couple looked to be what S.O.N.G. would consider normal civilians, and Shirabe herself counted as one at the moment.

"Why wouldn't you want to help?"

The girl in green spoke up and the raven haired gear wielder's eyes widened ever so slightly. The kind of energy that this girl had was akin to Hibiki's own overzealous nature. To just help strangers and trust them regardless of consequences. Even at the cost of your own life...

Shirabe did want to have an impact in a similar way for others, but this wasn't second nature to her like Hibiki, the commander, or even Kirika. ESPECIALLY without Kirika around.

"Spectaculum."

The magic filled the sky as Shirabe's grip on her coffee can tightened. At the sight of mysterious forms taking shape, she thought it might be some new way of summoning Noise. She wondered if she would need to pull out her pendant but... no, it was some sort of illusion?

The story that played out was pretty long. The Heavenly, the Mortals, the Satanic, and how the Blazel Flower was a source of miracles to the people of Vespertine. Cleansing themselves of sin? Wasn't that what happened to Hibiki? A single sweatdrop betrayed her poker face.

As for miracles well, Shirabe knew what Hibiki would say to that. "Everything will be fine! We can create our own miracles!" ...or something.
As the story was finished, Shirabe lowered her eyelids a little in focus. Trying to grasp it all and use prior knowledge to help it make sense to her.

Unfortunately only partly did but she pretended to just go with it. Even without much worldliness, she could just use the movies they watched or things she saw in the other worlds to fill in the blanks. That wasn't the most important thing to Shirabe anyway. Her hand raised to show the black and pink scrunchie she wore. It was as lonely as her without the girl that held the paired item.

Kunikida arched a blonde eyebrow, noticing Akutagawa in his line of vision. The ADA and the Port Mafia did ally together when the situation called for it, sure. They’re still enemies. Having Akutagawa with the reputation he bulilt, as unpredictable as he is, is a good thing. He only knows Dazai used to be Akutagawa’s mentor when he was part of the Port Mafia, that’s what little he knows of the brunette’s past. He’s not keen on working alongside the Hell Hound either, the feeling is mutual apparently.

As Parsley explained himself, Kunikida raised his eyebrows. Unlike, the elven girl clad in a green tunic readily jumped on the idea of gong on her next adventure. He thought of it as a simple magic show, and Basil leaving his brother to deal with the mess they made seemed a touch hypocritical. To get annoyed with their reactions didn’t sit right with him either. “ Right, what makes you think we want to clean up the mess you two made? You haven’t proved yourselves trustworthy just a thought.” At least that seemed to be everyone’s reaction except for two.

When Dazai called out to him, albeit stretching it dramatically, and insulting him. “ Firstly, it’s Kunikida not Kuni-niii-kiduhh!” He slammed Dazai upside the head with his knuckles, roughly. He began writing down what Dazai he said, “ Anger can cause a severe increase in aging.. leaves scarring..

GINTOKI SAKATA

Cabin

Zenitsu, Parsley

"Hm?"
Feeling someone bump into him, Gintoki lowered his lazy gaze to the culprit; it was just some blonde brat around Kagura's age. "Oi, kid, watch where you're going." His voice was still light and nonchalant as he tucked his hand into yukata. What caught his attention, however, was the sword at his side and the clothes he wore. "Huh? Are you some kind of cosplayer or something?" There's no way such a nervous wreck could swing around a sword...then again, appearances can be deceiving. He knew that better than anyone else.

Before he could question Zenitsu any further, his attention was seized by the amalgamation of dark clouds in the sky. "Listen, uh, Barsley, was it? You're not gonna change my mind. Just let me stay at the cabin..." The silver samurai's voice faltered when various gruesome images flashed across the sky. He was no stranger to war and how it brought the worst in people, but for a second, anger flickered in his eyes. His right hand grazed his bokuto, Lake Toya, but he exhaled a long sigh and forced himself to relax.

It would be so much better to walk away. Why should he risk his life for a world he wasn't familiar with when he had people waiting for him at home? The thought of Kagura and Shinpachi panicking and thinking he was dead in some ditch put a sour taste in his mouth...

...but when he glanced at the others, realizing how young and innocent some of them were, he started to hesitate telling Parsley off. "Dammit..." Gintoki grumbled under his breath as he ran a frustrated hand through his unruly hair. "Listen, kid. This isn't going to be some walk through a haunted house," He told Zenitsu, "you're still young. Spend your time throwing spitballs at other kids or catching beetles. Don't throw it all away for something that should be handled by adults." In spite of blunt words, he took a step forward towards Parsley, holding his palm out.

"I don't get all this satanic bullcrap, but if you want my help, you gotta hire me first." He stated without missing a beat. "So pay up. It can be food, money, booze, a date with the pretty princess after we save her...anything works."

Shroomie Shroomie [ Linkle]

Okarun looked at Linkle, eyes wide, still shaking a little, her words almost lost in the storm of his own thoughts. He couldn't understand how she could be so calm—no, scratch that—how she could be excited about all this. His whole body felt like it was buzzing, his mind spinning around the dangers they’d just learned about, the cursed princess, the demon emperor, and that flower that could only be found in some Under Realm nightmare! This was too much, way too much, and here she was, giving him a comforting pat on the back and a big, grin.

His breaths were shallow as he tried to speak, his words stumbling out. “I—um—I'm Ken Takakura, but people call me Okarun,” he mumbled, taking her hand with a clammy grip and glancing up to meet her gaze. He wasn’t sure what he expected, but Linkle's calmness made him feel somewhat relaxed

“I-i cant believe everyone is chill with this” the boy would push up his glasses. “ Now that i think about it...seems like something out of a manga.” you'll think he would be used to crazy stuff happening..but he wasn't prepared to be brought into another world

He ran his hands through his hair, feeling the weight of the whole situation becoming more then he could bare “I just—this isn't an adventure I signed up for..I’m already trying to get urrr..find something of mines back at home. I don’t even know how I ended up here, and now I’m supposed to be a hero?" He could feel his heart pounding again, just thinking about it. "Like... I get that we’re supposed to help, but... aren’t you worried?”

Okarun studied her face, almost searching for a crack in her resolve, something to tell him he wasn’t the only one overwhelmed. But Linkle seem to be eager and he couldn’t understand. She wasn’t just okay with it—she seemed genuinely thrilled by the idea. Her comfort was real, sure, but that almost made him more nervous. Could she really be that confident, or did she just not understand how dangerous this all sounded?

“I...well” he said inhaled a deep breath “Sorry for freaking out..”
