    idk I mean yes you are correct. but at the same time people don't want to see a bunch of sad scenes and just feel bad after the movie. People go to movies to have fun and feel good about themselves. Thus removing the simple one-liners will keep people away from the movie instead of going to it.

    Idk man, sometimes movies need to be more complex and make ya feel and offer deep thoughts and philosophical questions. It's why despite the hate it gets from critics and such...Batman v. Superman (Ultimate Edition of course) is pretty much a cult classic from what I'm seeing. In my experience of viewing it, it's a film that keeps on giving. You see more layers each viewing.

    It's why I don't like the idea that MCU's way is the ONLY way and the CORRECT way to do a shared comic universe. MCU works yes, but different strokes and all that.

    Guys can we please agree that John Wick was such a badass movie. Yeah its sorta cliche in a sense but my god...its as brutal as ever.

    Literally the only problem I have with the second movie is the whole train scene where John Wick and Cassian are shooting at each other from in the hallway...like...silencers aren't that silent. And more importantly how the fuck did no one notice the bullet holes in the wall. Its like 99% white with a bit of gray.

    True, it's nearly impossible to do something completely original, yet I would say that's not really what's being requested. Originality vs cliche is a matter of the artist knowing what they are doing , why they are doing it, and the meaning of each element rather than mindless incorporation of their "inspirations"

    Because for one, most ideas are either from something they saw or just inspired by something. Like AUs for example. Most not original.
