been writing for around 8 years by now. roleplaying is fun.
if you'd like to know what my writing looks like, please ask, because the example takes up 5 pages on google docs and i am NOT putting it here.
as for info about me! you can find all of the details right here, but i'll provide a summary so you can get an idea of what i'm like without having to read all that quite yet. if you're interested, you can dm me for the toyhouse comfort meme, since it has some important stuff that i can't be bothered to copy-paste :')
i do original roleplays with og plots and characters. big fan of big, lore-heavy worlds. hero's journey plots are fun, though i'm a fan of general adventure, isekai (recently discovered that world and it describes that genre of what i'm into perfectly), fantasy, survival (apocalyptic and other situations where a character just has to survive against all odds), slice of life with a twist (!!), etc. these are just my favorites, though -- i'm certainly open to anything else if you just ask about it! i've done basically one of every type of plot before and i can certainly do it again.
i'd like it if my partners have a good grasp on syntax, though an overlooked mistake here and there is always fine. i don't mind any amount of words in responses as long as it moves along the plot and dialogue enough to be responded to, though one-liners are a bit of a turn-off. i myself average 1000-2000 words, but there's no need to get up THAT high. i've only had practice with a bunch of paragraphs at a time recently, though, so you at least having the ability to meet that is ideal.
big fan of morally gray characters, characters (mine are typically aged anywhere from 15-40; i can take on a bunch of main characters at a time and plenty of npcs) with a sort of "gimmick" that i can build a character off of (for example, hero complex and always actively moral in every situation to the point of pretentiousness; dude who is incredibly patient to the point where they are actively condescending to people who are pissed at them; guy who is just mad all of the fucking time and very impulsive about it, etc. etc. etc. i just like people who have a deal and probably a lot of problems about it). also a big fan of relationships. especially platonic ones. i like familial relationships and found family and people who grow to trust each other. i am a HUGE fan of mentor-like relationships (god, those are so fun, don't even get me started -- especially when the mentor figure barely knows what they're doing any better than the student, or the mentor takes a tutorial-like feel but is just such an asshole about it, or even when the mentor is nice but just has so many issues. it's great) or parental figures, and sibling duos (or trios or any amount of siblings) are always fun. of course, romance is nice, too (though i'm a bit rusty in that regard), but i prefer it when they build trust and care for one another rather than something instantaneous. i think romance is at its most fun when the relationship starts out rough but, upon them being stuck together on their little adventure for so long, they find out each other's best and worst traits and build that bond of trust that eventually forms into romance. could be an enemies-to-lovers or really anything else. i'm open to a lot of things, just feel free to ask.
my favorite type of roleplay is one where i can get really into the other person's characters and they can get really into mine. if we can ooc talk often and get really excited about the roleplay and joke or just analyze or really anything with the characters, then it's a great thing. if i get excited enough about it to doodle the characters, then you KNOW it's a perfect match. so long as you can keep your interest, then i can keep mine.
i'm patient and can wait months for a reply if i find the roleplay idea interesting enough, but if that's the case, i'd prefer having a partner i can talk about the characters to often so i can keep that interest! i'm pretty chronically online and can talk often. you don't have to be chronically online, too. just be willing to talk and i'm all good.
i'll add more to this later as i think of it, but yeah. nice to meet you, ahaha.
