I enjoy a wide range in terms of genre and theme, though I prefer to explore more mature subject matter: crime, murder, gore and abuse are totally fine, but not at all necessary.

Genres I Enjoy
Horror is my favorite. I'm a big fan of things like Silent Hill, Dead Space, Alien, The Thing, etc. Everything from the physical to the psychological to the surreal is great to me. Eldritch and cosmic horror are my bread and butter.
Sci Fi I'm a bit more picky on, as I don't find intergalactic unions and space travel all that interesting. It's not a hard no, per se, but if you're looking for something more Star Wars than StarCraft you'll probably want to find someone else. I adore stuff like Westworld, though.
Historical is dependent on a lot of different factors. I prefer to inject a bit of fantasy into anything set back in time, but I can be convinced to do something entirely realistic if the plot is really, really engaging. I'm more open to a historical setting than I am an entirely sci-fi one.
Fantasy is usually a staple in my roleplay. That being said I'm more of a low-key fantasy kinda lad than I am a high-key one. I like when magic or otherwise supernatural gifts are grounded in reality, to an extent, or have well established limitations. Think Six of Crows more than Harry Potter. I love witches, demons and contracts, superpowers, all that good stuff, so it's not entirely off the table.
Crime drama/Crime Thriller is something I'm big on. Serial killers, hitmen, seedy undergrounds rife with unscrupulous individuals, organized gangs owning questionable clubs, etc. I love working some fantasy elements in there, too, but it's not necessary.

Another important thing I want to mention is that when it comes to romance I'm only looking for M/M, sorry. I have no problems writing ladies (or any other gender) and I don't mind them being in relationships in an rp, I'd just prefer the main characters to be dudes.
