What's a band everyone loves to shit on but has some good music (examples please?)

I need to rant for a minute about a fandom thing. If youre not into ranting, please go elsewhere. If I go talking about a fan theory and I start it off with "Its a common belief that bla bla bla" and you respond with "Yeah but that's not the only theory that's only one possible theory there are others" Let me just tell you, you are what's referred to as a fandom whore. Not only did you just choose to shit on my opinion, yall came back with an opinion of your own equally unsubstantiated by facts, as if to say, "This opinion is better than yours simply because I have it." If you'd like to talk about your own theory, start it like this: "Another theory is that." The way you put that shit was rude and I keep seeing it happening (I'm looking at you, Supernatural, Sherlock, Merlin, and Lion King fandoms.) Knock it off
