Unpopular opinion but John Rutter's Requiem Mass is better than Vivaldi's
Finally doing a proper visit (as opposed to audition) at the college I'll be going to. I'm getting to play Barnum and Bailey's Favorites with their band on Sunday at a concert as it is, and I'm hoping to sit in on a rehearsal with them today. My goal: to scare the shit out of their trombonists by being pretty good at the piece after having it for a week. And then... I'll reveal to them that I only practiced it yesterday, and that's it. MUAHAHAHA.

Quick update on my life, I suppose. Got first chair in both the District and All-State Bands, which was a really FRICKEN cool experience, and I perform at my state music educators association's conference in January, not only with my school band (which was one of five bands in my state selected) but with the state band. I also won a full-ride scholarship to my first choice of college! Life's been looking up for me.
