The whip hits the archer, stunning him as he is grappled. He isn’t Crashed, but he’s in bad shape.

Aredin takes a deep breath, blade still pointed forward at their would-be ambusher. Just as the eclipse's blade begins to glow with vibrant heat, he bursts forth in an explosion of motion. Thunder echoes over the mountain as dust and pebbles roll outward, parted from the wake of the merchant's lunge. At the end of their charge, Adorei lashes out to pierce, even scorch, the Abyssal swordsman in one sudden cacophony of steel on steel.

[Withering Attack on the Abyssal Swordsman. 3m for Fire and Stones Strike, 3m for Excellent Strike, 9m for Melee Excellency. 15m total. Accuracy pool is 14 Base, + 2 Stunt, +9 Excellency, with 1 auto success and re-rolling 1s.

18 Successes.]

The swordsman is obviously taken by surprise, thinking that his sudden attack would be by stealth and not detected. He is hit in his leg, causing him to stumble and, worse yet for him, he drops his blade. The Abyssal is Crashed, granting Aredin extra initiative.

Recalling Aredin's suggestion of taking on the hulking, armored swordsman, Grey Stone rushed forward after the Eclipse, allowing his fellow Solar to take the lead. As the swordsman stumbled from the blow Aredin dealt him, the Zenith took a step to his left and swung Faith's Pillar in a low horizontal blow, aiming to take his big opponent's legs out from underneath him.

[Withering Smashing Attack, costing me two Initiative and lowering my defense by one until my next turn. Spending no Essence, but claiming one point stunt. Seven successes.]

With a sickening crack, the heavy hammer in Grey Stone’s hand smashes into the knee of the swordsman, causing him to let out a guttural cry of pain as he falls to the ground, clutching his shattered leg. He keeps trying to say something, but the words are not understandable.

Filial walks over to the downed man, and with the tip of his blade, he casually flicks the Abyssal’s sword out of reach. He says, “Anyone know of a reason I shouldn’t split this man in two? Just put him out of our misery?”

"OWRRR-ROWRR!" is all O Mighty Fat Cat can reply with in his current form as he prepares to inflict upon the stunned archer the Big Kitty Belly Flop of Doom.

Given the treachery that the two Exalted were about to set upon his Circle, Da Chonk sees no reason to not return their attackers with the same lack of mercy. He is, after all, a creature of the jungle where fairness among prey and predators is an unknown concept and nothing is certain - including one's own fate.

With the archer bound up in Del's sash and the swordsman lying on the ground, grunting painfully, the fight seems to be fading rapidly from your foes. There is still no sign of the teen girl that seemed to be the one called the Necromancer.

Rykon Rykon Eonivar Eonivar and Purr Purr The three of you are free to post. Sherwood Sherwood If you have something to say, make it quick before the others act.

After seeing Grey Stone batter their assailant to the ground, the Eclipse wastes no time taking to the air once again. Aredin leaps overhead with Adorei gleaming with rays of reflected sunlight. Pointing the daiklave downward, the eclipse drives his full weight behind his blade as he lands atop their fallen foe, seeking to end the Abyssal Swordsman in one all-out strike.

[Decisive Attack on Abyssal Swordsman 3m for Excellent Strike, 9m Melee Excellency, 4m 1w Thunderbolt Attack Prana. Since Decisive Attacks don't get Weapon Accuracy bonus, the base pool should be 11+2+9 for 22 this time. 9 Successes on the attack. That's 14 Lethal assuming no double 10s on damage iirc. which gets doubled to 28L thanks to Thunderbolt Attack Prana.]

Aredin’s shining blade slips easily through the gaps in the armor of the swordsman and deep into his chest, causing a gout of blood to fountain out of his mouth and all down the front of his armor. He spasms, then goes limp as he dies.

The archer is still bound up in Delilah’s sash, his eyes bugging out at the sight if Aredin killing his fellow Abyssal.

Eonivar Eonivar and Purr Purr are up next

Maeve looks from the bound archer to the now dead knight...and wonders where their necromancer is and possibly any other foes...her body changes form back to her raven spirit form and takes off into the sky, circling the area looking for the other corrupted solar.

She uses the perception charms "Ever-wary Fox Technique" and "Perceiving the Hidden World" for her Perception+Awareness roll to find any others in the area...plus using 5 motes for her excellency in Perception...

Perception+Awareness +5 motes Excellency = 5+5+5 dice = 15 dice = 7 SUCCESSES!

From your position in the air, Maeve does not see any signs of the third Exalt, but you do hear the distinctive sounds of the engines of the flesh and bone airship powering up. If it is anything like the First Age ships you are familiar with, it will be able to take off in less than a minute.

Maeve swoops low above the rest of the party calling out…”The last corrupted solar is trying to escape in their airship! This way!” And Maeve flies towards the airship.

Maeve orders her zombies to run towards and attack the airship and its occupants.

O Mighty Fat Cat gleefully runs back and then charges ahead for a running start to throw all of his considerable Spirit Animal weight and mass upon the foul-mouthed archer. His smile is bigger than ever as he tries to dispense justice in a form large enough to carry the entire Circle and more through the sky all by himself. With a happy "ROOWR!" and a great leap into the air, O Mighty Fat Cat hopes to turn the archer into O Wimpy Flattened Brat!

I don't quite know how to calculate this? Da Chonk's intent is to smash him with all of the Withering damage he possibly can and if someone else wants to end him, that's for them to decide. It would probably be wise to swipe his bow, quiver, and arrows while we're at it while we can (lest he have some other Charm/Ability/Escape Route to teleport or otherwise vanish - best to nail him while he's stunned because we might not get another chance.

So!
Charmed Existence
Dexterity 4
Martial Arts 5 (White Reaper Style)
Specialty - Martial Arts - Withering/non-lethal attacks (prefers not to kill unless it is something irrevocably demonic).
2-point Stunt?

I think that's all I add. =)

If the strike is successful, and if he is able, O Mighty Fat Cat would like to make away with the archer's bow, quiver, and arrows (transforming to human form if necessary). Then, acknowledging Maeve, Da Chonk will follow what the rest of his Circle is doing.

Fat Cat leaps up and lands on the bound archer with a hearty belly flop that knocks the wind out of the hapless man. He is Crashed.

His bow is lying in the ground next to him, but his quiver is currently wrapped up in Del’s sash and is not accessible to be able to grab.

As Fat Cat is getting up, Filial casually steps over and looks down at the fallen and squished Abyssal with an evil grin, then he takes the tip of his blade and slowly shoves it into the exposed chest of the man, causing him to spasm and then lie still.

OOC We are moving out of combat time. There is only the one Abyssal left, and she is attempting to leave in a hurry. Feel free to post as you wish.

It is one thing to have to slay an adversary lest they slit your throat the moment your back is turned - it quite another to take extreme and obviously evil pleasure, cruelly and slowly killing said opponent instead of finishing him off quickly. This, Da Chonk makes instant note of - not only does he not know what Filial Wisdom gains by being with Da Chonk's Circle, but why is he along in the first place?

He would think about it later - now was time to move!

"MOR-RAWOOOO!!"

This, combined with O Mighty Fat Cat's continued use of Glance-Oration Technique complete with one claw pointing excitedly toward the beautiful silver howdah on his back, is his way of telling everyone... "Jump in now - if you want a ride!!" As if to make an example of them both, Da Chonk tries to scoop up Delilah, the corpse of the archer, and the enchanted bow into his huge magical howdah ( Sherwood Sherwood unless Delilah makes any kind of move to avoid this).

His new wings at the ready, O Mighty Fat Cat makes one speedy circle giving each of his Circle the opportunity to hop on. Nor is he willing to leave powerful artifacts behind for other would-be enemies to use - Da Chonk tries to scoop up the corpse of the swordsman lest they see his sword and armor upon some new threat down the road.

Then... with whomever has taken him up on his offer, and continuing to follow his echo-location Charm, he spreads his wings and soars into the air after the fleeing figure on the ship.

Dragging the body along with her, Del leaps up into the howdah and grabs ahold of one of the straps to keep from getting flung out.

Swiftly re-stowing his darts, Glade lightly runs to, and the up the nearby tree, before leaping lightly into Fat Cat's howdah from one of the upper branches. He too keeps a keen eye out for the now-departing airship.

Grey Stone too would follow Fat Cat's instructions and jump into the howdah, the better to press the attack on these undead foes.

Aredin leaps into the howdah as the mighty fat cat scoops up one of their kills (and loot), ready to face the fleeing necromancer.

It doesn’t take Fat Cat long to wing his way back to where the necrotic airship is currently powering up. You still see the zombies writhing tirelessly to dig a tunnel but there are no signs of the third Exalt. It is a safe bet to say she is in the airship.

The flesh and bone ship is stretching a large pair of wings out from the sides and it is about to lift off. You have only moments to do anything.

Earlier, O Mighty Fat Cat's echolocation charm gave him the location of the target they were now after.

Now, he tries to use that charm to home in on the Exalted's position. Coming in at high speed, he tries to get as close as physically possible, including landing on top of her, if possible - whatever it takes to give his Circle the best advantage.
