Waela spent from birth to around 19 years old with her clan, and she enjoyed every little bit of it. She loved to play with the other kids in her younger days and she felt like everyone was close, like one big family. She was content and as far as she was concerned, she had not many large complaints about it. But like any young adult, the sense of adventure and new things to see drove her to leave the clan and explore outside the camps. After spending a good 9 years outside of the clan, there is still some things about “civilized” life that she doesn’t understand or even learned yet. (For example, she tends to make a mistake by talking rather casually to nobles or higher ups. This gets fixed somewhat during the Inquisition time line when she becomes the inquisitor, but she will still slip into a more casual speech and vocabulary from time to time when speaking with nobles.) She eventually returned to the clan, living a few months until she was sent as a spy and the events of inquisition take place. Before her departure, she received her mother’s pendant for good luck and safety and she keeps this close to her at all times.
