Akihiko is a newer addition to the infamous Team Skull, Akihiko is a trainer who finally gave up on trying to defeat the island trials. Under a lot of pressure from his abusive father, Akihiko finally runs away from his home and joins the ranks of Team Skull, finally enjoying the closest thing to a family he's ever had. Akhihiko's father came from a long line of well-rounded trainers who had all completed the trials in record time. There was a lot of pressure for Akihiko to do the same, to be able to master the trials and return to his family and finally receive his father's approval, pride, and love. However, Akihiko was defeated on his few tries against Kahuna Hala. His Meowth and the young trainer couldn't seem to handle the task. Akihiko gave up for a few years before trying again. He happened to get past Hala and make it to the next island but was trampled by Lana's trial. After another long break, which followed lots of disappointed remarks from his father, yelling, and feelings of just being worthless, Akihiko left home again, claiming to try the trials for the final time. However, this time he ran into Team Skull. After learning of the similar problems many of them faced, Akihiko joined the group. Here he finally faced his closest to ever having a loving family and enjoys the much less stressful life of being a team grunt. He usually lounges around Po town or enjoys lounging around in woods around the area.
Personality
Akihiko usually prefers to keep to himself and his Pokemon. He doesn't like confrontation and will usually do anything to avoid it. Often enough when Akihiko will try and complete missions without actually battling anyone. While he loves and trusts his team, he has almost no faith in their power to battle together. This makes it so that when he actually steals Pokemon, he always tries to use the sneakier route, never confronting other trainers head on. Akihiko also avoids the two higher-ups in the group, trying not to get recognized for anything because he doesn't want anyone to have any sort of faith in him. He also tries to avoid going on missions and while most people see it as Akihiko being lazy, it's really due to his crippling fear of disappointing someone important to him. Akihiko also has a hard time with dealing with angry or aggressive people, due to his background with his father. He also prefers to do what he's told, avoiding any behavior that might be seen as rebellious. Even though Akihiko is a Team Skull member, he often feels a bit bad about stealing Pokemon. Morally he refuses to steal Pokemon from children, especially those who only have one Pokemon. He will, however, gladly steal Pokemon from people he doesn't think deserves them.
