Some of you may not have noticed but in Sonic X Shadamy really does exist. When Amy hugged Shadow on Prison Island it was clear she knew it wasn't Sonic (to someone who knows a lot about Shadow, Sonic, and Amy herself). She thought he was cute and decided to use the "Your not Sonic" card.
