Miaki is a traveling bard, who plays her flute for anyone who’ll listen on her journey. Miaki lives a nomadic life - Never staying in one place for too long, and only carrying what she needs on her travels. She lives off of donations from passersby, as well as selling any items she finds on her travels, seeing how she doesn’t have room to carry extra baggage. She hears tales from all over the kingdom thanks to her travels, and likes to retell them to others, preferably with musical accompaniment whenever available (One can’t exactly tell a story while playing a flute, after all). Despite traveling alone and having no combat skill, Miaki has managed to survive by way of knowledge; Hearing of places where Monsters congregate, and avoiding them. If she does end up encountering a Monster, she evades them as much as possible, and has survived every encounter by fleeing, although there have been a few close calls.
Miaki’s origins are a mystery. She claims to have grown up in a village just to the south of Nerak where many different kinds of Kemo reside, but that is all she has told anyone, saying that her life there was simply too boring to weave any interesting tales from.
Miaki herself is known as a Kit, a fox Kemo. This gives her the expected benefits of enhanced hearing ability, which she uses to fine-tune her flute playing, and agility. Due to their similarities with the Kitsune Monster race, it is very easy for a Kitsune to hide among civilized society, which causes people to distrust Kits as suspected Kitsunes. Contrary to popular belief, Kits cannot be transformed into Kitsunes, and also do not gain benefits in illusionary magic like their Monster counterparts.
