This curse was used in Celtic lands to punish vain people. The curse object would change the wearer’s hair into hairstyle that reflected the person, and an ugly person would have ugly hair. It became popular to do this to people as a sign of intervention towards bad behavior, each curse has a unique way to break the most popular was to stop the terrible behavior or change the toxic personality. Rachel purchased this particular circlet at a pawn shop, thinking it was just a normal circlet. As soon as it touched her head she was cursed, luckily it only gave her ridiculously long and floaty hair(meaning it hardly weighs a thing).
Thus it was dubbed the “Rapunzel Curse.” Its an old circlet, made its way to this shop over the centuries, so there’s no easy way to break it. Inside the circlet is an inscription in runes and her only clue to getting rid of the curse once and for all.
One catch to the curse is that she cannot be more than a mile away from it other wise she gets a terrible migraines and prone o faint and vomit. One the plus side the curse pretty much takes care of her hair so 5 bottles of shampoo and conditioner isn’t really necessary. Another plus is that she always looks cool with it on. Pros and cons as she always says.
