Mithara
Just want to point out -

" Finding herself in the presence of the Dragon Goddess herself, Mithara found herself unable to speak in her presence. "

"Presence" is used twice, and it's bugging me XD

But other than that, I'm pretty sure this is my favorite character of yours so far! Nice work!

I didn't notice that XD Ah well, it's not a big deal.

What are you talking about? That's not how it is at all  :smile9:

And thank you  :smile1:

Typically there are two types of Fairies: The normal kind, often referred to as “Light” Fairies, and Dark Fairies, who have been corrupted by their emotions. Light Fairies are usually the first and only kind of Fairies one will encounter, as Dark Fairies are much more rare, so much so that at least half of the people who know about Fairies know nothing of Dark Fairies.

Even rarer than them, however, are Moonlight Fairies. Known as the Wizards of Faekind, they know far more about their magical prowess than Light Fairies, to the point where they have actually managed to establish a spiritual connection with the Light Dragon Endra, an ability typically exclusive to the Fairy Queen due to the unprecedented amount of magical power and spiritual purity required to do so. Their transformation into Moonlight Fairies is triggered by this connection, granting them purity of soul and a direct connection to Endra, as well as a vastly extended lifespan. As such, Moonlight Fairies are typically regarded as seers, prophets, and oracles. Unfortunately, because there are so few of them, they are thought to be only a myth by those who know of them.

Mithara is one such Moonlight Fairy. Originally a Light Fairy seeking answers to the Dark Fairy magic, she sought to understand everything about Fairies that she could so she could find these answers. This led her down the path to understanding magic itself, its essence and where it comes from, rather than simply accepting its presence and controlling it, bending it to her will like so many others do without question. Discovering everything she could about magic, her search eventually led her to a text obtained by an archeologist, detailing a spell that no living thing known to man had been able to master. Suspecting that figuring out this spell could help her immensely, she copied down the details of the spell and shut herself away in her cabin (Secluded homes help ease concentration and assist in gathering magical energies, hence why Wizards are often found in towers in the middle of nowhere) She tried for months to perfect the spell, determined to overcome the challenge that had been presented to her. When she finally managed to cast it perfectly, she discovered that it was, in fact, not a spell at all - Not in your typical sense, anyway. Rather, it was instructions left behind by a previous Moonlight Fairy for those who seek to understand the world, so the legacy of their kind may be preserved and continue throughout the Earth’s life.

Finding herself in front of the Dragon Goddess herself, Mithara found herself unable to speak in her presence. It was as if the whole world was standing right in front of her, all of its secrets suddenly available to her, flooding her mind all at once. She was transformed into a Moonlight Fairy and taught the ways of magic and its origins by Endra, before being sent back to her small cabin outside the Fairies’ city. With her sudden revelation and clarity, as well as the new form she was given, Mithara now lives her life watching the world, waiting for when she is needed. Occasionally she will intervene in events, when she and Endra know no one else can succeed, but for the most part she remains in her quiet corner of Aetheria - Passing travelers are typically given kind hospitality and the opportunity to see their lives’ purpose, though whether they accept Mithara’s offer or not is up to them.
