The second of the strategical thinkers of Ariador's group, Amarin studied magic in Holaria's Mage Guild, and was the one who took Sky under his wing as his apprentice. He specializes in Lightning magic, which he summons from a wand he keeps stored in his robe. His outfit is standard fare for all Holaria Guild members.
He met Ariador while the two were escorting a merchant cart through a dangerous road. The two were attacked along the way, but managed to survive, with Amarin saving Ariador from a lethal attack. Impressed by his display in battle, Ariador invited Amarin to join his adventuring party, to which the mage agreed.
He and Brun are practically opposites to each other, and Amarin frequently pokes fun at Brun's hardheaded and careless nature. Oddly, this dynamic has brought them almost as close as Ariador.
