[Questland: A World of Adventure] [Questland: A World of Adventure] W3 Guild Hall

Sol

Brahsol
Welcome to this dilapidated husk of a building we call the guild hall! I do apologize about this place has fallen into disrepair but we are all working on making this place your one-stop shop for all your adventuring needs!

Need a place to simply chat with your companions about how to you want to go about your next quest?! You can do it here! Word of warning: the floor paneling is loose and some say that our guild hall was built over an abyss of time...exciting isn't it? Be careful where plant your feet.

Have some armor you need mending? Hah! We have you covered with that do it yourself styled blacksmith hammer on the far corner over there. I mean all you need to do is smack that armor until the dents don't look like dents anymore, convenient no?

Looking for a good meal? Well go to the inn on the other side of the street, our kitchen is still in works, somewhere in the deep recesses of our minds.

Looking for a place to rest your head? We have a HALF a dormitory built into the building. That's right! HALF! I would still suggest that inn on the other side of the street though, they make better food than our acting chef (you did not hear this from me, in fact this segment never existed.) Hope you don't mind huge rats, but then again, aren't they the main ingredient for the beginning quest of a grand adventure?!

Want a place to mend your wounds? Hopefully your body has a resistance to rust because most of our medical tools are rusted, imaginary or imaginary.

Happy adventuring!

-Assistant Manager.

PS.

I do hope the changes the Evil Wizard, What's-his-face( I cannot exactly recall the details), did to our glorious guild hall shall not affect your stay in the W3 guild. Not that you can leave, the contract you signed placed a magical seal over you that only the Guild Master, who is currently out on a journey for a few months, can dispel. The seal would probably kill you or just give you eternal diarrhea. In any case, I am working my ass off to bring this guild hall back into its previous pristine prestigious appearance.

[in OOC terms. You guys can chill here. This place also needs money because the Guild Master(Toaster Muffins) is on a months long adventure(hiatus) and the Evil Wizard What's-his-face trashed the place, just the Guild Hall, like he had some grudge on this place. Anyway you guys make money, the Guild Hall needs SOME money for repairs. -WinkwinknudgenudgeHINTHINT - Or we could all just like wait for the Guild Master to return in a few months to fully upgrade everything in the blink of an eye with the Creator power! In any case, he asked me to hold down the fort while he's gone and the Evil Wizard What's-his-face trashed the place. I'm not doing a good job so I need your help to make it look like I did a good job. O uO=b]

If you haven't formed a party yet you can do it here: http://www.rpnation.com/threads/parties.57899/

*Remember! These parties stick with you until you die but you can still guest in other parties and just leave your party members to die. I mean no one's gonna judge. I swear. I mean I'll just respect you considerably less for leaving your party members to die when they needed you the most.*

Ohnem strolled into the dilapidated building, looking around in disdain and general lack of comfort. The place was falling apart, in more ways than one. Lack of a kitchen, awful food, HALF of a dormitory, questionable architecture, namely in the poor floorboard installation, and to top things off, his magical prowess allowed him to detect that the building was located over some sort of antinode in time, like an abyss.

Fantastic.

Well, in his travels, he'd stayed in worse places than this. He'd just have to make the most of what he got. Far be it from him to question and/or insult his new guild's headquarters.

Tightening his grip on his blade, Ohnem made his way to a table and seated himself, propping his feet up and leaning back in his chair. At least the furniture was still in moderately good condition.

Nikolas Timothy, no, Assistant Manager never thought that he'd be back in the W3's guild hall after leaving it alone for quite some time. Despite the week he's spent getting the headquarters into a barely serviceable condition and tacking on a notice by the Guild Hall's door, he still felt a rush of nostalgia course through him each time he beheld the exterior of the building. This was a glorious place once, well a week ago to be precise. Then the Guild Master had to leave on some foreign adventure to a far off land. It was even likely that the Guild Master even forgot to renew the wards around the Hall. It allowed the Evil Wizard What's-his-face to swoop down and trash a relatively empty building.

It wasn't about killing off the W3, it was about sending a message.

Finding the door ajar as he arrived the Assistant Manager immediately tensed as several possibilities raced through his head. What's-his-face could probably be in the building to bring about more destruction to a hollow shell which probably accomplishes absolutely nothing. It could also be likely that some just happened to be curious about this dilapidated compound they call the W3 Headquarters. Then again, it may just be one of the members coming back after doing a job or something.

Worrying gets one nowhere. It is more efficient to worry as one walks forward.

The Assistant Manager walked through the doors and onto the common area where people used to laugh, and share stories of their adventure or even just boast about their deeds. It was also a place where people cried and grew solemn whenever someone met a bitter end. It was also a place where people wagered on the quests they go on. Now, it was nothing but a broken, dusty canvas that the Assistant Manager swore to rebuild. He found himself staring at cloaked figure who was simply seated on one of the empty seats. The figure in question looked very relaxed, as if he owned the place.

Regardless he made his way to the common area's quest board and placed a notice on it. Despite all this destruction, the good people still relied on the W3 for their monster exterminating needs or climbing the tree to get retrieve their stuck cat needs. Hopefully someone would take a look at and accept the request on the board. The Assistant Manager then turned to the man who was no doubt staring him for quite some time.

"A new member? 'Welcome to the W3!' Is what I should probably be saying. You'll have to excuse the sorry state of the Guild Hall right now, an evil wizard came for a visit you see. You'll also have to excuse the fact that the Guild Master did not hand me the updated roster before he left for his adventure. Now is there anything I can help you with?"

Along the road that led to the W3 guild hall was a sight that caused people to start in confusion, a crimson unicorn with black markings on his face walked along the road, looking like he'd come fresh from a battle. Atop his back sat a sleeping girl and a strange looking man who was holding onto her. There was no saddle on the steed, nor a bridle or a halter.

Diana, the girl, had brown hair that was tied in two long pigtails, she wore a fuchsia coloured dress. The man holding her, Jack of Spades, had black skin and only two white orbs for its eyes. The trio made for a strange sight indeed. The unicorn stopped out the front of the Guild Hall door, unable to open it for himself.

"...So I was saying, that fight sure was bloody, wasn't it?"

"Is no-one gonna talk? I feel so lonely right now"

"Wildfire, you not gonna talk? Come on! I'm so bored!"

"What is that? Why are we heading there? Wildfire are you listening to me?"

Diana squirmed, stirred awake to the familiar but annoying voice of her companion card. They were still, supposedly because the red unicorn had stopped. She cracked open an eye and stretched, letting out a exhausted yawn.

"Oh you're awake! Thank the Spades, I was dying of boredom over here." JOS exclaimed as his white orbs gazed at the Guild Hall door. Diana nodded sleepily and straightened up on JOS' lap as she also gazed at the door. "...mmmfff, I'll open it now." She said softly, still pretty sleepy.

Diana tapped JOS' shoulder and he lowered her off Wildfire then he got off him as well. She pushed at the door and slightly cringed at the loud creaking noise it made. JOS peered inside and whistled.

"This looks like a terrible place...are we really gonna stop here?"

The unicorn looked at his two companions and heaved a sigh, his ears flicking back slightly and his tail swishing.

~This is the Guild Hall we were told about, so I guess we have no choice... Unless the roof falls down on our heads first.~

He looked the building up and down slowly, really unsure about the stability of said Hall. He followed them inside, overhearing a few words being spoken by the two figures inside.

"We should check if there's spare rooms here first. We got saved by JOS' treatment from our recent-" Diana started as she blinked a few times to keep her eyes open, but JOS cut her off.

"-bloody battle that we victoriously won!" He yelled, raising his black lance in the air.

"-yeah, that." The girl finished, glancing at the two figures having a small chat. One of them was in a pretty comfortable position, leaning back on his chair.

Diana stopped in front of a loose plank and JOS bump into her, nearly making her trip on the plank.

"Wildfire, do you think we should ask if we can rest here for a bit and get some foodstuffs? Even though you don't look like you're that tired-"

"-because I did such a good job on healing him."

"-we can still try and imagine this as home. We've stayed in worser places, right?"

The unicorns ears flicked forward and he looked upward again, worrying about the roof falling in. Hopefully he could stay in here, it seemed there were no stables and at least inside the Hall gave him cover.

~I doubt they have a room for me.~ He chuckled, the sound to those not targets of his telepathy would be a high pitched whinny. ~As comfortable as beds look, they're not really built for equines.~

Diana nodded and mentally pinched herself for forgetting that beds weren't for all of them. She must still be pretty tired thinking like that though.

"There might not be stables, but we can try and find some near here." She suggested, looking up at the top floor. It's staircase was...unrecognisable. "Ah, just suck it up you unicorn. I thought you sleep standing up or like, kneeling down or something." JOS said as he strode towards the two figures, his head and spear held high.

Diana sighed and watched him go, the wave of exhaustion coming onto her then fading away. She wished she was a unicorn like Wildfire, he seemed to be handling this pretty well.

The horse snorted and tossed his head. ~There's still a difference between a soft ground and dusty wood that's falling apart.~ He would have stomped a forehoof to prove his point... but he was worried the wood would break. He may be overreacting, this was all newish to him after all. Although the idea of living inside out of the weather seemed pretty smart.

Ohnem glanced up at the Assistant Manager.

"Unless you've got any good missions or a better Guild Hall, then no, probably not. I could also go for a bite to eat, but I'm not sure I trust the food this place provides."

He stood up and walked around, examining the place for a second time.

"Speaking of missions, where are the job listings? I don't think I saw any on my way in here."
