Xcom gender ratio

So I don't know how many people seam to run into this problem, but every time I play the new Xcom my roster is almost in the eighties with the percentage of female soldiers that I have. I did some searching and apparently the code actually is in favor of women in it's vanilla setting (3 for women and 1 for men. I'm guessing that means there's a 75% chance of having a female soldier.) Above that, the women also seam to get a stat boost:


I had a friend do this for me over steam after he dismissed all the female characters that were in his roster and hired fifteen new soldiers (Always randomized. You only decide how many you're going to recruit.) Of that, eight were women. The stats that the female soldiers got in brain and aim were far better than what the males got, and when it came to health and defense, they were even.

So I thought I'd put this up and see what people think about it. I'm sure there's a mod to fix this, but it's still odd.
