Cameron was born to Ashcroft Blackstock and Kinsey Blackstock (both deceased). Ashcroft was a professor specializing in conjuration and Kinsey was a professor specializing in demonology. However, despite his parents, he doesn't care much for witchcraft. Instead he prefers the companionship of his books.
His mother is the one who got him the job in the bookstore, where he spends most of his time to get away from his family and have a quite place to study his school work.
Cameron currently lives with his curmudgeon of an uncle, Damian Blackstock and his brother, Rinehart Blackstock.
With Damian pre-occupied raising his own three children, Morothan, Beauty and Sadie. Rinehart is left to raise Cameron and train him to use/control his powers, whether he wants to or not.
He has a crush on a fellow student and study buddy, Claire Hexman.
His cousin, Morothan relentlessly bullies him despite being nine years younger, while his even younger cousins, Beauty and Sadie, (who take after their father, Damian) take joy in torturing their older brother, Morothan.
