[The Suspicious Eye]

Emile Durkheim classified different types of suicides on the basis of different types of relationship between the actor and his society.


(1) Egoistic suicide:


According to Durkheim, when a man becomes socially isolated or feels that he has no place in the society he destroys himself. Those who lack emotion and isolate themselves


(2) Altruistic suicide:


This type of suicide occurs when individuals and the group are too close and intimate. Altruistic suicide is when you give your life for another or die for a cause or society you believe in. This is the opposite of Egoistic suicide. These people will die for the common good, as their personal needs do not seem important compared to the group as a whole. An example would be military service, where a soldier is expected to die for his/her country; or where a mother pushes her child, who is in front of a moving car, away while hurting herself in the process.


(3) Anomic suicide:


This type of suicide is due to certain breakdown of social equilibrium, such as, suicide after bankruptcy or after winning a lottery. In other words, having a lack of meaning with one's life


(4) Fatalistic suicide:


This type of suicide is due to overregulation in society. A good example of this would be a man who kills himself before the police take him to jail. Jail might be seen as oppressive and would prohibit the man from fulfilling his dreams.

When her little brother came along she thought she finally had the chance to be he big sibling and she was when little Pigeon Barkley wandered into the road and was about to be squashed by a incoming truck. It was Mallard who grabbed him and tossed him safely to her Pa. Too bad she couldn't move fast enough

Bio: Danny was always the rude kid that had problems all around. He doesn't get along with others easily and could careless what they thought. Danny used to bully this mental kid he thought it was cool until one day that mental kid died in a car crash. Danny didn't know what to do but drown himself with pills and Alcohol which killed him that night. He couldn't ever forget that night.

Personality: Mikeel is empathetic and always wants to help people in difficulty and trouble, however he has very low self esteem, believing himself ugly and stupid, whenever someone attempts to become his friend he believes they are winding him up, or he is simply not deserving of it.


Bio: Mikeel lived in his family home in Oxford, England with his two sisters and is mother as his father left when he was very young. He lived a relatively normal life up until he met a boy in a programming club at his school called John. Immediately he fell in love with him, they became the best of friends, and eventually boyfriends. He moved in with john only a year after they met and they lived together for a long tike enjoying each others company and learning all they could, they even got engaged in the weeks leading up to mikeel's 18th birthday and they planned to move away from their judging parents when they got their qualifications. Mikeel felt all was good with his life until one terrible day when the bus John was travelling on was held up at gunpoint by a man on a drug induced rampage. John was shot two times through the chest and died shortly after in hospital along with four other people. Mikeel felt like his life was over after that, his family despised him, he had no one who loved him and nowhere to go. It was only a month until Johns funeral when Mikeel committed suicide by overdosing on pills so that they could have their funeral together like they'd both always wanted.


What type of suicide?: Egoistic suicide


Appearance: Mikeel is a white English male. He has brown hair and greenish-brown eyes. He is also fairly good looking, being thin and slightly muscular (though not like, sportsman muscular)

Powers: Psychokinesis and telekinesis (the ability to move things without going near them and the ability to violently destroy and fling things without going near them which would normally be extremely beyond human strength

Jamie isn't your average person to plaster on a smile and say he's fine. He's actually quite open about himself and even his sexuality of being Bi-Sexual. He was a very adventurous and curious about their society and people would find him circling their small town when he wasn't working or at school. He is very bright and inventive, kind and loyal to anyone he had come to care for. But after death he has become sort've skiztophrenic, not quite trusting of people and jumpy always on edge. And so he hates telling others about himself because he fears he may scare them off or perhaps his mind would twist his words.


Bio:


It's hard to believe right? That such a cheerful kid would retort to such a selfish action. But he had to, he couldn't go without stealing that medicine.


Jamie was born into a normal family with a mother and father who cared for him. But when they died in a car crash when he was 7 he had to be shipped to Norway his native land to live with his grandmother. Jamie had only spoken to her a couple times from past holidays so he didn't expect anything to grow, let alone a relationship. But in a couple years that was what formed. And at the age of 18 his withering grandmothers arthritis was getting the best of her and their already poor family couldn't afford the correct surgery or medication.


And knowing he didn't have the money from his four jobs he made the decision to drop out of high school and began having two other jobs. But in the duration two months he knew he wouldn't have the money in time. So he decided he'd try and steal the medication at least. He performed the task cleverly but the police where still going after him on a search to find him. Jamie got to his grandmothers unsuspected giving her the medication before grabbing his fathers famous hunting rifle and placing it in his mouth after running to the woods. No one was around but he was sure the gun shot could be heard for miles.

Aria has turned into a feminist, scared yet enraged at the male gender. It was wrong of her, since not all men are like her best friend's dad and brother, but she still is a feminist. If only a boy could take her out of that phase, that's when she would finally trust them. She may even refuse to trust men if it was a choice between take his hand or die. When you get to know Aria, she's very polite and funny, with a bit of sass up her sleeve. It's kind of hard to get on Aria's good side, but it's easier if you're a girl. She has heightened intuition now, being able to see things coming at her from behind and kind of one of those knowing powers. Like a gut feeling. Detached from her family and her friends, bullied every day. "Anomic suicide happens when the disintegrating forces in the society make individuals feel lost or alone." She definitely felt alone in the world. She could've talked to someone about it, but she chose not to and the horror built up inside of her until she just couldn't take it anymore. What was it she should've talked to someone about? She was sexually abused by her best friend's dad and brother. Plus, her best friend didn't even notice. She was fast asleep when it was going on. Aria lost trust in her best friend, not saving her. She stopped going over to friends houses as she was afraid of the males in the house. Aria felt alone and lost in the world, so she committed suicide.
