Death to all betrayers

Heels clicked and resounded in the grand hall. A woman in all black walked down the stone hall way in the castles. She had an heir if darkness and royalty about her. The council was meeting. "Doors open."She said two guards opened her door. She walked in and sat in her seat at the table. Three other figures waited for her. She was late for there meeting but with good reason.

Octavia sighed and waved a servant off after they put there blood into her cup."sorry I am late please fill me in on what I missed." She looked at Klaus to say she tell him later. She turned to the other originals and watched them. They got along to a point. She tolerated the other originals, but would always stand at her mates side. Klaus always had her back as she had his.

Death to all betrayers

Klaus gave her a nod and the Zweihänder, a German long sword, hung from his hip and swayed oddly as he stood and cleared his throat. The sword was real, and sharp, but he only wore it at these meetings. It wasn't unheard of in them. Besides he liked it and it reminded him of the few years he helped in the wars that the Vampires had fought the Humans in. "You haven't missed too much yet. We are discussing plans. I say we have a slow invasion. But we should allow the world to remain mostly human. Not because I love them, like I know some of you will try to say, but because if you turn all the sheep into wolves, the wolves will no longer have sheep to eaat."

Astrid sighed, she didn't hate Octavia but they were friends from time to time. "Darling you really should be more on time." She said in a soft tone, not condescending just soft. She was curious as to what had kept her fellow original so long. As always Astrid was wearing a dress that would better fit in the Renaissance, but she loved their elegance and chose to wear them instead of the hideous modern clothes. Turning her attention to Klaus, "The Humans should be made our slaves. We should keep the Vampire numbers small, like always. We are the elites we don't many others of our kind." She said speaking clearly. An invasion would be disastrous for all involved including the vampires. "We can't simply invade. We have to establish our control through other means. A direct assault like that would prove most disastrous..." she paused lowering her voice, "Like it did last time."

Dima kicked his feet up onto the meeting room table and sighed. "You are a fool Klaus, we need to take the fight to them!" He stood up and stretched. "The invasion needs to be backed up with a resistance inside the communities. I say we tear them apart from the inside!" A servant approached Dima with a small wine glass filled with blood. He took the glass and chugged it before handing it back to the servant. Dima wiped his mouth off then looked back at Klaus. "If we do not act now, there will be a massive increase in the danger that the humans represent." He looked at Astrid and smiled. "The ones who do not fight and surrender could be taken as blood slaves." Dima was not known to be the nicest person at times, but he was not that mean either.

"By invasion I mean we get into the higher up places in the world. Get inside the governments, learn from them and give them a nudge in the wrong direction. I fear if we have them as slaves we will have an uprising. It is better to lead with a sly hand than an iron fist." Said Klaus. He tossed a stack of files onto the red and black table and they fanned out, allowing each member to get one. "PLaces I believe we should start with."

Astrid nodded to Klaus hearing his change of wording. "I agree with an infiltration. Though all of us have well known faces because of our deeds in the past, we will need others to lead in our stead for the humans to be placated, at least for now." She turned to Dima and very harshly smacked his legs to get him to show more respect. She didn't like disorder and least of all disrespect. "Octavia, why were you late?" Astrid said questioningly. She wanted to know what was so important as to keep an Elder from being able to be on time to a Council Meeting. While looking through the files she noticed that Switzerland was not on the list, "My dear, Switzerland is not on this list?" she said in a questioning tone. "They are the world's banking center, control them and you control the banks. But I do approve of the other places here, they are all strong areas that we will need to influence to ensure our eventual victory here." She said with a smile.

Octavia listened to them all grumble about, she was glad she was late. She didn't have to listen to this crap for to long. She sat up straight and glanced at Astrid

" First off I am never late this was my first time, there were extenuating circumstances that couldn't have been avoided with a lesser vampire. Second Dima feet off the table were in the 21st century were not barbarians. Now the Humans I believe that if we make them slaves they will revolt and kill us. We take the fight to them were dead or experimented on, I do agree with infiltrating the humans but all we need to do is use compulsion and not change them. Another thing I wanted to bring up we don't need to kill humans when we feed off them. You can leave them alive."Octavia said she kept a straight face no emotion.

"oh another thing to bring up we have a few out of control turned vampires rhat must be extinguished immediately. She put the folders on the table."names when they were turned and by who we deal with them and then the creator's as well."She said. She drank her blood slowly. She enjoyed it when it tasted sour.

Death to all betrayers

Dima sighed and smiled. "I suggest we start with Russia, the Kremlin can and will be our greatest asset." He crossed his arms and watched as servants moved about the room. "I believe it would be appropriate due to the fact that they have sheer firepower in nuclear weapons over the rest of the world. We could threaten everyone until we get our way, it is easy as feeding from a child." Dima chuckled and looked back over at Astrid. "Don't you agree that it would be easier with threats then time?" Without waiting for an answer he picked up one of the files Octavia placed down and examined it. "Esteban is on here? Well it serves that maniac right after last Monday." He looked up from the folder and scanned the room. "You all remember the crazy guy right?" Dima said addressing all the meeting attendees.

Astrid was rather frustrated that here came another slew of lesser vampires that needed to be purged. "How shall we handle them? It's not like we should all be going out and getting our hands dirty anymore, we have lieutenants for a reason," She said in regards to the renegades. She nodded politely to Octavia when she got onto Dima for his feet on the table. She was right... it was rather barbaric. Her responses to the plans were aligned with how she always was... rather neutral but believing in subtle force rather than blunt for or completely in the shadows. "Can we all please stop our feuds. We haven't actually openly fought one another in a couple centuries now. We need to really embrace one another to survive this threat we now face." Astrid said spreading her arms out a little. An aide had told her before the meeting of some rather disturbing news in regards to the Hunters. She placed a single file on the table, the black folder stood in stark contrast to the others. "It might be of interest to know that it is now official. The Hunters for sure know how to kill us," She said flatly. "Not vampires, but us." Her words were heavy in the air. They figured out from the ancient texts what it took to kill an Original. "They knew how to harm us before... but now this, this is a threat to our very existence." Astrid turned to her companion Dima and frowned. "We will not threaten this world with annihilation." She said flatly.

Klaus took a drink of his and had ordered one of his favorite blood types, AB+. He simply liked how it tasted, there was nothing special about the blood. "Ah. Yes Switzerland. I did forget how rich they are. What is money when you already have all you need?" He was joking, something he rarely did and something that was often missed. "Rowdy kids. How unpleasant." He caressed the hilt and handle of his sword as he finally sat down. "We'll have to handle them. I rather hoped I wouldn't get blood on my hands." As he said the last pat he dipped a finger in the blood and watched how it clung to his skin.

"Ah my dear Astrid, that is where you are wrong, we have been threatening this world since the day we were born." Dima said with a sly look. "Since we are all sharing news. You all should now by now that i follow the humans and there policies. We have a large problem on our hands, they have developed plenty of ways to detect us and even now have drones flying through the air as i speak. The drones are being dispatched to multiple locations, but if we were to grab one it would allow us to easily monitor the lesser, or as some of you call them, vampires." He pulled a small leather bound journal from his pocket and tossed it onto the table. "I would also like to address some large problems with Esteban, he has been going after the police force again."

Astrid was very tired of the constant bickering of the Council. She rose to her feet before speaking, "Please inform me of your decisions. My votes stand with infiltration, less human deaths, no nuclear holocaust, and the eradication of these lesser things, I am going to be in my garden for the time being. Bonum Vitae" she said as she bowed to the others, stopping at the door, "Octavia I would appreciate your company later if you wouldn't mind." She said not waiting for a reply before leaving. Her heels clicked as she walked through the Castle's halls before coming to the door to the exterior. The guards nodded seeing her slipping on her sun ring so as to protect her from the big ball of gas in the daytime sky. She smiled breathing in the fresh air. Strolling through her garden that she had tended for over three centuries since they moved to this Castle. The roses were her favorites and with some coloring she had turned her plants to yield blue roses of the nicest variety. She cared little of how to handle the vampires these days. Astrid firmly believed that this era was no long for the vampire's to rule but for the humans. She would do little to lift a finger now unless forced to do so.

Octavia sighed well "He is your problem real him in or I will kill him personally. Our presence is not to be known to humans. It was the first main law we made when the Witch turned us. Now the only way a hunter can kill us is if they use this. The Red fern bark of what were made of it is rare, but the one we were made from I had it burned to ash. She said and had a servant put it on the table. So unless you want to give it to the humans and basically give all we worked for. So that will be locked away." She rolled her eye's as Astrid left"Dima go with her give me your vote later. My vote is with Astrids as well."Octavia said and stood. She made the servants take the ash away and lock it up and return the key to her. Octavia sighed and fixed her ring on her right hand. She waited for Dima and looked at Klaus with a smile.

Death to all betrayers

"Well, i should be going." Dima smiled and walked out of the meeting room. He stopped and began to chat with one of the guards. "Can you put a good word in for me?" The guard asked and Dima replied with, "Yes" He walked off and slipped his sun ring on. Dima nodded to one of the guards and they allowed him into the area that Astrid was in. "Hey, can i please speak with you for a few seconds. I want to know where you stand on the current situation." He sat down beside a bed of flowers and smiled.

Astrid smiled at Dima... even though they didn't always get along they had been a pair for more than a millennia. Sure they both had love interests throughout that time but to one another they always put the other first. "You may," she said warmly. "I don't appreciate how the Council bickers. We lost so many in the last war, and we the hunting of our kin has only increased. We should embrace one another and act unified for once." She said frowning at the state of affairs between the Elders. "The humans know how to kill us, the Elders. We should take precautions to make sure they can't and don't kill us." She said flatly. She now turned to Dima. "I think we should approach the humans and come to a peaceful settlement where we no longer fight, we recognize them and they recognize us." she said. This was something that had never really been in her mind. She had always believed humans should be the Vampire Race's slaves, and while she still thought that, her time on this planet, her long time here, had made her understand that was less likely to happen these days. "Force will not solve our issues anymore."

Klaus stood up and talking to a severant. "Bring the folders to my library. Leave them on the writing desk." He drained the glass of blood and left it on the table and walked out. He needed to take a moment to collect all that had been happening with everything at the table. With an elder and a new vamp being so violent perhaps they could be used to help plan a way to get rid of the hunters.

Octavia stared out the council window. She frowned and walked after Klaus.Octavia caught up with him quickly. She was almost the fastest out of all of them.Octavia slipped her arms around Klaus's neck and kissed his cheek."whats on your mind dear I know that look your thinking and your thinking to hard about something simple. "Octavia said with a small smile. Octavia was almost always flirty with Klaus especially when he was in a bad mood or thinking to hard."I have to go see Astrid. I will leave you be To think, but will talk later if your up for it."Octavia said with a small smile up at him.

Death to all betrayers

Klaus was seconds from telling her but she had bounded off before he could say anything. They'd talk that night. One advantage was sleep wasn't needed, but nice to have. Not ready to go to the library but still needing to think Klaus vanished into a wood shop he had made And began working on a table he had been doing for Bout a year now. He was carving detailed animals in the wood around the table, most of them tree frogs, with the occasional bug. It was life life and if it weren't for the color of the wood and the fact that everything was larger than life, people might think them real. Everything about the table was done by hand. Not one power tool had been used. And the entire table was done in one solid piece.

Dima sighed and rubbed the back of his neck. "I guess that is true, if that is what you believe i shall believe the same thing aswell." He said with a large smile and stood up. "I do not understand how they found out a way to kill us, someone must have leaked the info somehow." Dima looked up at the sun and then back at Astrid again. "We have been together for a long time, and whatever you follow is what i shall follow. If us, the elders were to die, there would be a large amount of problems for everyone else."

Octavia had kissed Klaus on the cheek and walked for Astrids garden. She saw Dima and her talking. Octavia sighed and leaned on a bench and waited. She listened to the conversation with a small smile.

"Hate to interject this lovely moment, but a lot of that has no truth humans have no clue how to kill the elders. Know how to kill more of our kind yes. us to be exact No not really."She said. "So you wanted to see me Astrid. How can I be of assistance. Am I lending you my ears and maybe my voice today depends on if it is warranted. Dima can stay or go up to you."Octavia said. She really didn't care. Octavia was hard to read never smiling or frowning. Her face just rested. Some would call it a resting Bitch face. She really only smiled around Klaus. She didn't like him to stressed. He took on a lot that he shouldn't that is why there were four of them.

( Lmao thought I give you something to laugh win go me )

Death to all betrayers

Astrid sighed as well looking up to the sky. Rain would come in the next day or so she thought to herself seeing clouds in the distance. "Thank you Dima. I know you and I don't always get along but..." she paused. "We are together." She said smiling to herself as she went back to gardening and pruning the roses. "Is there anything else you wish to discuss or was that all?" She asked while paying little attention to anything beyond Dima and the Roses. Gardening had been her thing for as long as she could remember. Hunting and Falconry were tied for a very close second. Astrid groaned inwardly as Octavia butted in. "You are wrong Octavia. Sources within the Hunter's Association have revealed that the Hunters indeed know that they need a stake and ash of a red fern to kill us, the Elders" she said infuriated that Octavia believed Astrid had lacking info. "Hasn't the millennia taught you anything about manners?" She questioned placing her shears down and looking at Octavia. "Yes, I wished to speak to you, Dima would you leave us please?" She asked smiling at Dima.

Dima smiled back at Astrid and walked off back into the building. He walked down some corridors and into his study. Dima sat in his desk's chair and kicked his feet up after removing his shoes. "Who says we have to be classy?" He nodded to a guard and they closed his door, the guard locked it after exiting the room so now it was only Dima in the room. He stood up and sighed. "I should do things before i sit down." Dima walked over to his record player and placed his favorite record on its table, some music began to play and he stretched. He listened as someone walked around behind him, he turned and no one was there. "I am loosing my mind...."
