Character name: Grace-Lynn Sawyer.
Age: 28 years old.
Bio: Born in and raised New Orleans, this Music teacher was happily living her dream with a decent apartment with three room-mates, a cat named Schrödinger , and a job so close to what she loves most, music. Growing up, Grace had dreamed of moving to LA with the intent of becoming a musician. After the passing of her mother, she'd given up on that dream to stay with her father. For several years they lived together, until he'd over heard a conversation Grace had on a phone, talking about her dream. To make sure she'd leave him alone to pursue her dream career in music, Lewis, her father, had kicked her out to avoid holding her back any further. She is currently attempting to work up enough money to keep travelling towards LA but is finding herself torn between her dream job and the joy of working with children. When the virus really broke out, she was in school, teaching her third class of the day just before lunch. One of the substitute teachers had come in infected unknowingly, and when he was full blown, infecting nearly the whole school. Grace had escaped with the gym teacher, and ran home to find her apartment empty. She went out in search of her room mates, who were never to be found.
Personality: Grace is a peaceful, nurturing teacher. She loves children and music above all else and wakes up every day happy to go to work. She's a peacemaker in arguments, and responds to them with calmness and positive attitude. She considers to be teaching music, something she's so crazily passionate about, to be a blessing. Through her overly joyous aura, Grace has her faults just like everyone else. She's a perfectionist, and will never strive to be mediocre. It effects everything she does and can stir up stress within herself. As well as a perfectionist, she's easily flustered when faced with problems she can't fix and will drive herself crazy trying to fix them. She has issues killing the infected. She knows they're dead, but the fact that they were once people seems to blur her vision of the beasts standing before her and every time she kills one, a little piece of herself cries out in pain.
